app issues

This app has several issues:
-issue when downloading videos
-issue where pip (picture in picture) does not work

Not Quite Useful

If I select “download content” I expect the content to actually download. For my situation not being able to reliably download the content, and have it stay downloaded, means the app is near worthless to me.

Does not rotate out of portrait on IPad Air

You pay £1000s for a SANS course and they can’t even make an app that can be viewed in landscape mode. Just weak SANS weak

Doesn’t properly mark videos as done, no PIP

Disappointed with the very laggy and unintuitive video player. There is no picture in picture option, and the modules automatically mark themselves as done the minute they are viewed. There is no option to manually control this or mark them to review later. Super disappointed considering the amount of money I paid for this course.

Ehhhhh

Just use the web version, even after the new update. Auto rotate rarely works, and portrait mode is not how most tablets are used. Downloads often fail or get removed. Place tracking is lackluster, making handoffs frustrating. And a lack of casting / airplay options can feel limiting.

Have to restart app dozens of times.

This app is so buggy, I really dislike having to use it. Audio regularly drops out while watching videos. Rebuffering and/or reopening the app doesn’t fix the issues. The app is slow to respond to input. No dedicated  TV app means I have to AirPlay from the iPhone app, which would be fine if the app was stable, but I have the same issues when using the iPhone AirPlay. I’ve had this app on the iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max, and the app acts the same on both devices.

Super Convenient

This app has made it extremely convenient to study my SANS content on the go. The new player is much improved from the first iteration. Great tool to use for Cyber professionals.

iPad support is terrible

This app won’t support a horizontal viewing, and forces the app vertical. Quite frankly unacceptable for an organization that offers tech trainings. This is my first experience with a SANS course.. a broken iPad app..
