Landscape mode
Why wont the app work on landscape mode?
Screen orientation issues
It’s frustrating the screen orientation does not work correctly in this app.
I want to like this app, but…
I really want to like this app, but it is so freaking buggy! It will auto play all of my content within a section all at once, say I’m done with a section, then when I go back into the section, I cannot see any of the videos! It neither plays the videos nor shows the video lists so I can go back to the last one I actually watched. Even after turning off auto play and downloading the section, I still can’t get the section, or any other section for that matter, to play. A restart does nothing. I want to like this, but the video player is so buggy

Works, however lack consistency.
SANS OnDemand is a decent application, meaning it meets the overall intent. However, a few things prevent it from being a well polished application.
1. There seems to be a telemetry issue with orientation of the application with orientation iPad. Meaning, if my iPad is horizontal the application often will load the application vertically or completely inverted. Forcing me to close and reopen the application multiple times before correction.
2. The lack of support with dual application use. I should be able to take notes and watch the video in the application which i find to very annoying.
Overall, the application meet the purpose of allowing a user to watch the videos for class on the go. However, the lack of support for native iPad features (no dual application support, no AirPlay) is pretty astonishing, concerning the prestige of SANS.

Works ok when you can authenticate
Authentication seems broken half the time
Works ok but no AirPlay support
No problems here but sure do wish it would allow AirPlay so I could cast it to my TV. There are times I’d like to just watch this on my TV instead of a tiny phone screen or 13” laptop screen. When you’re looking at 20 hours of video, sometimes a 65” TV is preferable.
More work to do
Like the thought of classes on the go. Features like autoplay need some work. Way too often play just stops in the middle of a segment. When that happens usually have to restart app to get course to restart. When it does restart either credit for watching a segment has not been granted or segments have been skipped. That is annoying. Doesn’t seem to matter when on WiFi or LTE. On the same WiFi network where issues are seen on mobile app, no issues are seen using PC an same modules there.

I didn’t even know I needed it.
I wait in the school pickup line for a hour a day. Perfect opportunity to review materials.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Love the access hate the execution
Great idea but needs some work. App has issues rotating from full screen, errors video when any notifications come up and the list goes on. I know it’ll get better but it’s not ready yet.
Response from developer
We are sorry to hear your experience with the app did not meet expectations. Please contact us at ondemand@sans.org to provide us with additional feedback on ways we can improve upon the execution issues you experienced.
Goes perfectly with my SANS OnDemand Course
Love having access to all my course materials on mobile. Makes studying sections that I need to review so much easier!
