An excellent grammar and writing assistant
I've been looking for a mostly grammar related tool that could pop up and be used in just about any app. I believe I found that with LanguageTool. Even the free version provides a great deal of capability. If you need more than the basics, there is a paid version. I appreciate the developers did not add annoying ads.
I found that LT works very similar to built-in editors found in popular word processors. However, LanguageTool can be used with just about any app or webpage. You can use LanguageTool in stand-alone mode or add it to an iOS shortcut for more flexibility.
It's a really well thought out app that also considers your privacy as important. It has an uncluttered text screen with clearly marked action buttons. Corrections are suggested with buttons and a suggestion pane. You can accept edits directly into the text, ignore them, and even add custom spelling. Changing between writing contexts (casual, professional, etc. ) is straightforward.
If you are looking for a solid grammar and spelling checker, I think you'll be very pleased with this app. If you are a professional writer, which I am not, you may want to look into the paid version.

Worth using
I find this app useful on my PC and iPhone. The spell checking is excellent.
I would like to be able to use other keyboards with it as the app one doesn't offer predictions.

TBD, but pricing structure is way off. Out of touch.
Developers and Marketers — listen up. UI could be displayed bigger — to be legible. App needs better instructions. Next steps wasn’t always intuitive. (I want to like and use the app more, but we shall see.) *Upgraded pricing structure is ridiculous. $75, $45, $25 is out of touch with reality, your market and disregarding your competition. You’ll be out of business with this odd pricing.

Good app 👍
I searched for an app that helped with grammar for different languages. After using it, I found out some things: you can change the language easily, it finds plenty of things than other grammar fixer apps, it provides synonyms, you can copy the text, it has various grammar fixer languages, etc.
Not very intuitive
Even after reading the instructions it is still not clear how to use the app effectively. The information provided is not clear or complete enough. Speaking as an experienced IOS user.

Open source and privacy respecting, everyone needs a proofreader, no matter how good you are at writing. Even though privacy should always be a concern, when writing things that are not meant to be read by anyone else other than the person it is directed to, you need a nonhuman proofreader. That is where LT comes in!

Useless in Overleaf
Tried to download it to use with Overleaf. Bureaucratic set up, simply did not work..

Not sure what happened to my review, but i love this tool. All of the stuff developed by gmbh is quality! I have learning disabilities and cant spell very good. I get bullied for not spelling well or for my grammar, it isnt my fault i cant spell very well. So thank you for this tool. I use it all the time and it helps so much. Sometimes the AI loses its spot, but it works great.
My biggest problem was finding your app on the store. To find the app i cant search “language tool” i get translators. I cant search “grammar” and find your app neither. It shows the other spell checker. Only if i type “Language Tool gmbh” does it find your app.
