The most amazing timeline AU available.
There’s only one serious contender against ATOM 2, and that is Helium. Both are amazing apps, and at the moment I use each for its own strength.
What i’d like to see coming to ATOM 2? Midi CC curves. Maybe this is available already but I haven’t found a way to “SEE” my midi CC data. It can record it, but it doesn’t seem to display it anywhere.
Helium has a sort of curve editor which works wonderfully for automation, whether it is recorded or drawn the thing works perfectly. This is probably the one thing that ATOM 2 is missing.
Also, as a side question, is there such a thing as an “undo last recording”? That is one thing I have done issue with - ATOM 2 can Undo so many levels, but as far as I can tell this has to happen note by note - it would be great if we could maybe keep undo pressed to undo the whole last recording, sometimes I have to press undo like 30 times or simply rely on selecting it all and deleting it, but it would be better if an undo option for the whole last recording was available.
Anyway, ATOM 2 forever, and if CC editing doesn’t come around then I’ll just use Helium for CCs... but hopefully in the future I can have it all in ATOM :).

EDIT: Multi-channel support, automation, and MPE recording are all now available with the latest update.
Hard to do Basics REVISED REVIEW BENEATH THE ORIGINAL
And now an update to the above: - the dev has kindly responded (ta 😁). It is user error (!). Have now added a star. The only reason it’s not a 5* for me is because I prefer other apps that perform a similar function. Atom2 app will definitely suit others more though as it is a powerful tool. Give it a go, you might like it best.

Thanks for the review. Adding or removing bars is done with the two large circular buttons on the right-hand side, labelled “BARS” “+” and “-“.
AUM gotten a fresh start
Wonderful!

Thank you for your review! The most recent update includes a way of toggling dark mode within the app (as well as turning off animations or reducing motion). The fonts and button sizes can already be changed with the "Set Config" option, with "Larger Controls" and "Sausage Fingers" included as predefined presets. For further customization, check out your Atom folder on iCloud Drive in the Files app.
Revolutionary
It works
I’d go ahead and get this if you record any midi…
Just the best!
Brilliant GUI, so well thought out.
Currently it does way more than you could imagine and if it doesn’t it will soon.
Recording MPE midi and routing to an external hardware synth, is finally possible! And then some.
Thank you so much for this dream come true.

Hey, thanks for the feedback. Atom is not processing incoming MIDI, so what you’re describing is likely a configuration mishap, which I’m very happy to help you diagnose if you reach out on the support page. There are multiple “thru” options to choose from. I suspect you were using the “funnel” mode which joins MIDI together on all channels - this may or may not be what’s desirable depending on your needs. With the latest update, which added MPE support, everything is faithfully recorded and played, down to the exact sample, with maximum resolution. Atom has been universally praised by all users so far as the most sample accurate AU sequencer on iOS.
