Description of FLARe Research

The FLARe app was created by members of the Emotional Development, Interventions and Treatment (EDIT) lab at the Social, Genetic and Developmental Psychiatry Centre at King’s College London. The app was designed to deliver human conditioning experiments remotely to assess emotional learning. For more information, visit https://www.kcl.ac.uk/research/flare. If you are a participant taking part in a study using FLARe, you will need a unique participant code and a pair of headphones. Unique participant codes are provided by the team conducting the study you are taking part in, and will be required to login to the app. If you are researcher interested in using the FLARe app, please contact flare@kcl.ac.uk. Please note: if you are part of the study coordinated by VCU, please search for and download the 'FLARe VCU' app.

  • Needs risk/trigger warning!!!

    Setting volume to 80% is far excessive and this entire experience was horrific. This experiment needs FAR more warnings. If you are already prone to anxiety/panic attacks/etc, please do yourself a favor and do NOT download or take part in this experiment.
