Personal Accounts disappear

Beware, if you automatically update your Santander app like I did, it updated to this version and my personal savings account has now disappeared and it says you need to download another app. Frustrating when you can still switch from business to personal within this app. It was very useful, on occasion, to be able to transfer money from my personal savings to my business and back. Now I can only view my business accounts and have to either download and set up another app or go back to my desktop to log in. Other than that, I can’t see any difference in this new app, except for inconvenience!

New update doesn’t work

Just updated the app - the second time recently and it seems to get worse each time!! The face recognition didn’t always work before and you would just get a blank screen.
Now it does work but takes ages over 10 secs instead of the 2 secs it used to take.
But even worse I can’t actually pay any suppliers from the app. It goes through the process and then comes up with the error message - check details etc.
absolute pain!!! Please sort otherwise what’s the point of it ?!?! 😩😩

Imrpovement but logon twice and too many prompts to make payments

Much better than the old versions of the app. However I am forced to use FaceID twice to sign in. And when making payments, even to regular, already added payees I’m prompted what it’s for, and whether I’m sure it’s not a scam! If it’s a regular payee with same bank details, how could it be!!?

Not the best

Not the best app in comparison to other banking apps. Outdated look and functionality doesn’t flow but it’s better than what’s it’s been over the years. However, the facial recognition never works: you either get a blank screen and have to close and open again (and cross your fingers) or you are prompted to put in your pin to open app. Constant app updates but guess that’s due to it being in its infancy. For a bank that you pay monthly for it’s not reflected in the app.

Significant improvements

The original business banking app was appalling, for years it was really only useful for checking your balance. Now Santander Business has entered the 21st century with an app that means you can properly manage your finances anywhere, anytime. Well done

Your business app is extremely good and I have never had any problems. However, I have had a personal account with you and ever since they have updated the app. I’ve been locked out more than five times in the past few months and unfortunately I have just had enough and cancelled my account and moved first direct. I’m just hoping that you don’t update this app as from my side it is working absolutely perfectly fine and when something is running fine, it’s advisable to leave well alone

Average Banking App

Despite using wanting to use faceid, it first requests passcode by default and you have to go back to faceid. What’s the point? Still can’t scan in cheques using your phone like you can for personal accounts. Why is this??

Often have to refresh app as I get a blank white screen when logging in.

So not overly impressed I’m afraid. Could be better.

Ok, but…

The app is generally good but when using Face ID on an iPhone, after the choice to use either face ID or my 5 digit number, if I pick Face ID, I’m confronted with a blank white screen which doesn’t go away so have to log on again choosing to use the number instead. The app does this most of the time when I try to log on.
Also on the personal banking version of this app where has quick balance gone? It was really useful and I miss it.

Sorry to hear this. That shouldn't be happening with our app. Please try uninstalling and reinstalling the app as this might help solve the issue. We'd also suggest switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data. Good news, our quick balance widget will be returning very soon! Please keep an eye out for further updates on this.

I load this app a lot for work and most of the time all I see a blank white screen, I can’t down load statements straight from the app, I have to go through my personal account and go through 2 accounts worth of statements to find the ones I need in regards to work, I had to go into the bank to find out how to down load them and they didn’t actually know how to do it themselves, the lady had to mess on my phone to figure out what to do herself, the cost of this account is going up to £7.50 now I’ve almost been using it for 12 months for work and it is not worth that much when you can’t use it efficiently for your business! Considering changing banks.

Can’t search for payments out or in by customer/ business name

For years I have been contacting Santander as it is impossible even in the advanced search to pull up a chronological list of payment either make to a payee or in from a client / customer / or company by searching for transactions using the name of the payee. This makes finding if a payee has missed a payment or missed a scheduled payment impossible. The payments maybe of different values each month so searching via amount is pointless and brings up a cluttered list including any payment from any other payee!!!!! This drives me bonkers and wastes hours of admin searching manually through transactions CAN SOMEONE PULL THEIR FINGER OUT AND SORT THIS !!!!!!!!
