Hit and miss

This app is a disappointment compared to the previous app. Sometimes it allows me to view my personal account, other times it doesn’t. Either way I can’t action anything on my personal account via this app and on occasions I can’t even transfer money from my business account to my personal account
Additionally even for the business accounts it’s long winded to make a transaction and often I think I’ve made an action that hasn’t actually occurred. Santander insist you must have this app to approve new transactions otherwise I wouldn’t bother with this p.o.s

Vast improvement

This revised App is so much better than the previous one. At long last we have fingerprint recognition to open the App, payee search and the ability to change the payment reference. Bravo.I can’t wait for the ability to pay in cheques using the app which I believe is imminent.

Lack of contact details

I am away sailing, I have internet but not phone. There is no way of contacting you. Your customer verification team are trying to contact me by letter and text, however the phone number given cannot be called from abroad and the text number will not take a return message. There needs to be an email address available for contact

Santander Business App is Just Alright

Overall is okay however

1. Software is a bit flaky and often presents a blank screen when first logging in

2. When doing payments from the App the "Reference Field " does not properly update any new text you enter even though it's displayed: IE: When the transaction processes the statement reflects old data, not what you typed in at tv's time of a new transaction. Hence I do nearly all my payments through the Web interface

Not getting any better

I’ve moaned about this app before - it doesn’t improve. Still no cheque scan for starters. And still too much unneeded transaction text so you can’t always see what a transaction is. Today, I logged into banking using my desktop browser and, for the first time ever, was asked to open the mobile app to authenticate my log in. So I go get my phone and open the app …. Nothing!! The app is ‘unaware’ I need authenticating so the process doesn’t work at all. Also, for the past month, every single time I open the mobile app it white-screens! Nothing to do with signal strength. I have to exit the app and reopen - then my accounts magically appear. My other mobile banking apps are so much better.

Sorry to hear about this, this shouldn’t be happening. Can I please ask you to firstly uninstall the app, turn the device off for at least 30 seconds and then reinstall it? If the issue persists, please call our digital banking team on 0330 123 0209 for assistance.

Needs improvement

It’s disappointing that it doesn’t work in real time, ie when money is transferred/paid out of an account it doesn’t show untill you log in again, also not being able to use your personal account for payments, even though it is linked to the other accounts, is another disappointment.

Multiple accounts

I have multiple business and a personal account. The previous ap worked far better for this scenario. I now can’t make any payments from my personal account on the ap at all. I have to log onto a desktop. This makes it an infuriating situation especially away from the office. It’s impossible to search transactions by name. The statements are impossible to read online as they are far too small. Overall it’s a bit or an archaic system.

Much improved app but still work needed

The app has much improved over recent years, but still needs work. For example the app won’t allow you to send a payment with an & sign in the reference. Well if your business name has an & sign in the name then you have to process payments via the website. Come on Santander, this is an easy fix!!!

New Version is quite good

Finally new version that actually enables business users to make payments through app. Big improvement that come just in time - I was planning to change bank for both by companies because of old app. Well done Santander !

Proof the user has not been taken into account

The App has issues that it does not do things you need & finding what you are looking for is next too impossible. The people who make these and set them up are so familiar with it that their view is not a users view & the users find them very poor . Yes let’s admit it’s semi useless & comes with no natural guidance or practicality - nothing comes easy so why not use a variety of focus groups to check & use as the issue is its Geek led not user led -Try finding some one you have paid & all the payments to that account? No not possible that rudimentary necessity is not possible- This is one of so many errors it’s amazing it even works !
