  • Honest App

I enjoy the app. I’m already active and yet it still pushes me to do more. Had a situation in the competition I had joined where someone was cheating and Strive looked into and resolved the issue in no time. If you haven’t already, Join now!
  • Very prompt fix

I reported that somehow I was in first place in the July minutes competition, which was impossible as I am an old lady usually in the middle of the pack. The next time I checked I was in my rightful place of 36th. It was a quick resolution.
  • Fantastic extrinsic motivator

Simple but effective. There isn’t a lot of variety, and I personally recommend only doing steps challenges or calorie based challenges because it is very easy to turn on your Apple Watch and let it sit and count every step you take as part of a workout in a day. So there are some people with like 6 to 8 hours a day of working out which is crazy but for the steps challenges and the calories challenges, it’s great. I think distance base challenges are good in theory but because I believe it also includes things like bicycles, a cyclist is gonna go way farther than any runner. Still, for its use, it is a fantastic resource, and source of motivation. Just getting involved with this app motivated me to increase my daily active steps from 16,000 to over 20,000 per day on average.

  • I like it

I wish it was more popular!
  • Cool but weird restrictions

So I really enjoy the idea behind this app. My friends and I have a competition going and it’s really fun. However there are some weird quirks with this app that I don’t get. To enter your weight, you also have to enter your body fat percentage. You cannot just enter the weight. I wouldn’t guess that most people just know their percentage. And if you don’t have a smart scale or calipers at home, nothing in the app explains to you how to calculate an estimate like using the navy method. I wish it would have told me. I just wasn’t putting in weight because I didn’t know my BF%. It screwed up my competition because I wasn’t recording any data or progress. Once I finally found the formula for the navy estimate and tried to put it in, it logged that I had gained a bunch of weight because the starting weight wasn’t accurate. I could not find anywhere to go back and edit the starting weight. I assume editing isn’t easy for competition integrity, but I feel like it’s a necessary feature to have. I put in the wrong numbers initially so I was firmly in last place in every competition. I had been manually entering my weight into my apple health data but that does not sync to the app apparently. When I went to the help button to check the FAQ or send in a message, none of the buttons under help actually work. I clicked them all multiple times and was never pushed to the site or got any further response from the app.

  • Great family fitness app

Our family has been using for over a year for family walking competitions and we love it. Great data and customer service when questions or concerns. Thank you!
  • Great for Group Weight Loss Challenges!

Have to admit that the dynamic leaderboard is the best. Especially when your in a competition with coworkers. We did an office weight loss challenge with 15 people. There was a side bet the winner take all. Two people lost 42 pounds in 10 weeks, and another person ran the LA Marathon. Great for team work and building team relationships.

Cool to keep up with my steps.
  • Builds Community and Accountability

Purchased a group account for our staff and after just a few days you could see a change in the energy on the school campus, teachers taking walks during their lunch break and positive energy throughout. The chat feature is fun to share pictures from our walks. Highly recommend.
  • Just signed up

I recently just signed up with Strive since Fitbit was no longer offering anymore challenges. I did enjoy the weekly challenges (M-F) and they also had a weekend challenge as well. Maybe that’s another challenge you guys can implement on your app?
