A great way to make the process easier
It’s intuitive, helpful with confusing words , and easily one of the most informative teaching tools I’ve ever used.
Mehercule, hanc applicātiōnem amō.
The beginner stories are a fantastic resource for varied comprehensible input all in one place, and there’s plenty of intermediate content to keep someone busy for a long time as well.
The best part about it: as a busy person and mere hobbyist progressing at a slow pace, I no longer have any excuses for not reading at least a little bit every day; so even if I’ve had a day whereby I didn’t make any time to study at all (and I have more of those than not, unfortunately), I can still keep the candle lit by quietly (re-)reading a quick story before bed, and calling that a win.
Kinda half-baked
2. App is unintuitive, confusing.
Response from developer
Hello! 1. In the Free category there are four stories from our Beginner stories series (Orpheus et Eurydice, Sutor, Medicus optimus, Sanctus Valentinus, Hannibal et Eumenes). There are also free intermediate and advanced titles, so that there is something for all levels to try. Also, all subscriptions include a free 3-day trial where you get full access to everything. 2. Please elaborate: what do you think is confusing? There are two main categories: 1) audiobooks 2) Read-Alongs (Latin audio synced with text). In these categories all books are organized to an approximate level of difficulty, starting from Familia Romana and our Beginner Stories series. There is also an indepth guide on the home screen ”Start here” which explains everything and provides a suggested reading plan.
Perfect

Thank you for the review! About playback speed, you can change the playback speed of all audiobooks on Legentibus, but not yet on read-alongs (ebooks with audio and text synced). But this is a feature in development.
Only one complaint
Here is what would make this app perfect: allow readings to continue when the phone is locked or the app minimized, just as YouTube permits when one is subscribed to their premium service. I’d very much love to have the ability to listen to the readings as I go about my day or when I’m checking other apps on my phone. I’d listen to these Latin readings over, say music or YouTube, if this feature were implemented.
