Simply Doesn't work Period
Mac OS Monterey and Safari 15.4, this extension does not & will not default youtube in a Safari browser to HD. Youtube will drop to lower resolution even after changing it to 4k.

Not only does this not work, all videos are now set to 320k stream.

Exactly what I needed
I was annoyed that Youtube would automatically lower the quality of videos even though I had enough bandwidth to keep it at 1440p. This app solves that problem. The developer keeps it updated regularly which I appreciate.

As stated, this extension doesn’t work on Safari for iOS. But it works like a charm on my Mac.
