  • Shifting into pay to play

    I have been playing this game for over a year. I have actually spent real money on this game to speed things along - it being the only game I have ever done that on. But it has been possible to thrive and advance without spending, which I have appreciated. The primary in-game currency in the game is gems. Those are helpful for buying special buildings and for speeding things up (like making your way through the treasure hunt faster), and the game gave you chances to win these at a pace of a little over 100 per week on average. That seemed fair and you could save up if you were patient, or spend if you really wanted to move something forward faster than that. Recent changes have curtailed the incidents that spawn these gems and also cut the potential value of the incident. So now I have received 10 gems per week the pst few weeks. That pace will never amount to a meaningful supply. It feels like a betrayal to long-time players and a barrier to growth for new players. It is frustrating to see them alienate their fan base with this move. I will likely move on soon if they don’t reverse this move.

    While less incidents offer gems and quantity per incident has been decreased, we have added more gems as rewards through the Alliance Treasure Hunt (battles or negotiations) the daily reward (simply connecting to the game) to pick in our shop.

  • IMPOSSIBLE TO REPORT A PROBLEM! NEED TO SPEAK TO A REAL PETSON!!!

    I really like this game unfortunately, there is no way to report a problem and actually HAVE CONTACT WITH A REAL PERSON! I have tried to report the problem through the game…Impossible! No area to report the problem…so, no solution! I tried same through here, again, no area listed for it! So, Developers, again, no way to get a solution to resolve the problem! THERE NEEDS TO BE A WAY FOR ACTUAL CONTACT WITH A HUMAN IN ORDER TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM AND NOT GET BOUNCED AROUND WITH NO SOLUTION! If I could contact a person instead of a pick a problem, that doesn’t include my problem, it could be resolved. How about doing so. If someone would do this I would give 5 Stars ⭐️. HELP! Thank you. PROBLEM#2- Supposed to conquer land in Sumerian Empire got all but last piece of land. Problem is their army is larger than mine so, I lose. Can’t upgrade my army because i need to be in the Minoan Era but, still in the Bronze Era,need another building to do that. Again can’t do that until my army defeats the Sumerian army and I get to expand. Do you the problem! Round and Round we go, with no way to contact “ ACTUAL PEOPLE FOR HELP”!!! How about some answers!

    UPDATE- Thanks for getting back to me, I Shout because I’m extremely frustrated by not being able to contact a Real Person. If you know how to contact a Real Person PLEASE, tell me.

  • Very Glitchy

    The game is fairly well done with exception that there are ever increasing glitches the longer you play. At first the game hardly glitches, not I have to reset the game several times a day to get it to work. The issues include (but not limited to): game freezing, buttons not responding (both delayed and not at all), fame crashing (especially during advertisement viewing).
    The game also has a difficulty cliff (for me at least), where its fairly challenging (but can still readily advance) up to Classic Greece. Starting with Early Rome, the difficulty is far more challenging, to the point I needed to google videos on how to beat the Treasure Hunt. Advancing research on troops doesn’t quite make them strong enough compared to the enemies you face, so that’s part of the difficulty. Its discouraging seeing freshly upgraded troops get demolished.
    The game is chock full of the usual “chores” you would expect in games like this (to keep you occupied in the game, since this the devs do need to make money, I get it).
    The premium currency gems are hard to come by without buying them. You can do surveys and whatnot to earn them, but those take quite a bit of time.
