Solstice

Version 2.1 of Solstice brings performance improvements, bug fixes, and support for Italian locales. Italy is one of the top countries downloading Solstice, so I’m excited to bring improved language support to the app.

Version 2.0.5 of Solstice fixes a bug where sunrise, culmination, and sunset times display the user device's timezone instead of the chosen location’s time zone.

Version 2.0.4 of Solstice fixes a bug that caused notifications to incorrectly label June and December solstices.

Version 2.0.2 of Solstice brings a variety of improvements to widgets and notifications, including: - A new Solar Chart widget and complication for the iOS Lock Screen and Apple Watch faces. - Widget performance, reliability, and design enhancements. - A new option to schedule notifications for a custom location. By default, your current location is used for daily notifications, but in this update you can now choose a saved location instead.

Version 2.0.1 adds reliability fixes and a new view for learning more about the solar equinox and solstice.

Solstice 2.0 has been completely rewritten to provide richer, more detailed charts, multiple locations, and a new design. Enjoy the same features you know and love, like widgets and notifications, as well as new ones I hope you love too.

v1.4.4 of Solstice fixes an issue on M1 Macs which caused the app to crash when the location picker is opened.

Version 1.4.3 of Solstice fixes a bug which prevented the Countdown widget from updating at appropriate times. Despite its familiar appearance, version 1.4 of Solstice is chock-full of improvements and new features. **Onboarding and Location** - The onboarding screen has been redesigned to allow new users to choose to use the app without turning on location access - Additionally, you can now use the app after revoking location access. It will continue to use your last cached location, or you can enter a location manually. Note that on watchOS, location access is always required. **Notifications** - You can now schedule notifications at a time relative to sunrise/sunset. For example, “15 minutes before sunrise”. **Widgets** - The countdown widget has a new design that cycles between different sky colours throughout the day. - Widgets have been updated to handle large dynamic type sizes **Bug Fixes** - The app has previously marked the June and December solstices by their dates alone, rather than their exact times. This has been fixed in this version, counting down to the exact time of the next/previous solstice. - The Apple Watch complications did not reliably update to show the most recent data. This has been fixed. - General performance and reliability improvements.
