Very frustrating paying a distributer and doing their job for them

They placed my music on the wrong tiktok. Tik tok is not listed on the fixer so I had to email them. They asked me to the link of each song so they can fix it. That’s fine. I sent the link to the artist they linked my music to. His name is no where near my name btw. A day later they respond asking me to click the 40+ links I just sent them to skim through the url and send them the son ID for each song. Very frustrating paying a distributer and doing their job for them. Even more upsetting that I have a kinda big following and I’ve been making music for a while like 2 years, and they put my music on a guy named “kuosa”’s page and my name is Kwa -_- I can’t make this up.

Very good app

I'm new to using Distrokid. It has helped me a lot with the vocalization for the songs I've been creating through the inspiration of God in my heart. The music is almost always created according to the voice. I recommend it for everyone, not only for those of us who are just starting out in music, but also for those who are already in music. They can save a lot of time trying to vocalize and trying to create the rhythm for their songs.
Thanks to the creators of Distrokid.

Owned by Spotify

Not a fan. They try to make out they’re your friend. It’s just not true. $12/yr to upload a cover song?! Give me a break! More Spotify nonsense

“Banking Issues Preventing Music Uploads on DistroKid”

DistroKid is great when it comes to the speed of music distribution, but it has serious issues with banking connections. Despite completing an in-app payment and enabling the “Hold My Earnings” option, the system keeps trying to deduct $1 for a test transaction. When it fails to establish this connection, it doesn’t allow me to upload new music. I’ve been trying to upload a new song for over a week now but haven’t been able to. I wish there was an option to cancel my subscription and get a refund, as this situation is very frustrating.

Scammers and money stealers

It’s big scam. It was a wonderful beginning with this company, but after being served for five months, I noticed that I wasn’t paid for almost a couple months . I contacted them to ask what’s going on and what I was discovered that one day all my music was deleted without any notification to me. Also, they didn’t send me my money as the amount of $362. I tried to contact them to check what’s going on , all they say that one of the music stores didn’t accept my music despite all my music was successfully approved before. they steal all my money😤 stay away from them if you don’t want to lose your time and money!!!

Gets the job done, contrary to the horror stories.

I’ve heard a ton of poor reviews from people about Distrokid, but from my experience of uploading my first album, it’s been NOT BAD! The website is easy to navigate, the basic plan is generally cheap, and my album got released fairly quickly! The additional fee for content ID is a little disappointing, but otherwise I can’t imagine a better distributor.

Paid Subscription as Musician… Upload doesn’t work

App doesn’t seem to work, after 48h I’ll be demanding a reimbursement. No uploading, no agreement disclosure, nothing is opening … just a blank page. 📃😔
