Pretty Good, but glitches out sometimes
Im studying for a big test, and it says I have no camera access when literally yesterday I took pictures of my assignments.. so I don’t know what to do. Kinda disappointed but it’s a good app overall 😐
Disappointing but, maybe one day
I was very excited for an app that could make digital copies for my notes to have them available via google drive. the other features such as scheduling and reminders seem promising. For the main feature though (making a digital copy of notes) I’ve found that a large amount of the margins are cropped out which means most of my notes end up unreadable unfortunately there’s no way to adjust the cropping of the scans. The app has a nice organization system but for people who use the whole page it becomes useless. Which is unfortunate considering said feature is the MAIN FOCUS, concerning how long this app has been out I doubt I’m the first to experience said issue and I don’t see it being changed anytime soon.

Wow
I actually had zero clue this existed because I never really read the paper - TikTok told me and it’s my favourite thing lol market on TikTok! It’ll get its hype, this app is so amazing and organized, I love it.
Great app just one small thing
Although I haven’t really used the app because school just started I find it really easy to use and understand. I have just one very minor suggestion: I am learning ASL (American sign language) this year and I’d like to make flash cards for that class but I can’t flip the camera or record the signs. I’d love to be able to use that tool. It’s not a need, it’s a want so do not feel pressured to add this just for one person. It’s still a very handy app and I’m thankful for it. Fire your ideas man
I would give this app 0 stars if I could. Whoever came up with this idea deserves to be fired with no severance pay.

Five star made simple paper notes complicated and expects pats on the back. To top it all off, they even changed the GRAPH paper notebooks.

Pretty good app with some bugs. Lots of potential
Overall I like this app and the scanning functionality to make notecards is good, but there are a couple comments I have:
-there is a bug that allows you to write more than 4 lines of text on the flash card, but doesn’t expand to let you edit the full content of the card if it’s past the 4 lines of text
-it’s kind of a hard learning curve to get things to upload and saving cards to the decks / categories. But scanning itself is very easy and the app does it within a second
-should be allowed to do basic formatting of text on slide (ie left align, bold, underline)
I’ll still keep using it though! The scanning feature is s game changer and makes doing flash cards easier than anki.

Scan of paper does not work
We bought this so we could scan and use my daughters notes to help my son that has a learning disability and is in the same class. It is great in theory but after trying multiple phones to try to scan and match up the corners to the sheet it still does not seem to work. I turned on flash as suggested and stood above the sheet. Matched the corners as you need to but it would not scan. I can take a picture but it won’t let me create flash cards from the picture. App crashes each time. Please let me know if there is an update and I can adjust my review.

Has Potential
This app has a lot of potential , I wish they could make it compatible with OneDrive not just Google Drive. I also wish you could move the notebooks around not just organized by date created. There are some glitches when trying to move the pointer when editing the name of a notebook, you have to erase the whole thing and restart. I think it would be nice to just have the My Planner button as an optional folder. The app does a good job at taking the photos in high quality and works quickly but it definitely needs some upgrades.

This makes studying so much easier…all features are free and it can really help you stay organized in school.
Note: (still would give 5 star rating bc it’s helped me alot in school) I’ve been having a hard time moving more than 5 cards to a new set…I’m not sure why but it would be nice to be able to move more cards.

Impressive!
Wow! A company that finally made something useful. I’m impressed and pleasantly surprised. I purchased a Five Star 5 subject notebook from Office Max on clearance today. I wasn’t feeling that great when I bought it so I didn’t noticed all of the little details about the app until later on in the evening. I downloaded the app not expecting much while making flash cards for my biochemistry class. I tested out the app by writing a question on the first page and keying in the answer. Then I placed my physical flash cards on the page and the question was on the front of the virtual card in app and I typed the answer in on the back. OMG! When you can turn biochemistry notes and questions into a fun game it makes a huge difference. This is a blessing for me. I’m going to go back to Office Max and buy as many of these notebooks as I can for my classes for next semester. The app is easy and fun to use. I can’t wait to tell my professor about this because it makes reviewing the material so much fun. I’ll definitely be using the app on my lunch break, for sure. Thank you Five Star.
