Great app, needs some more work and fixes.
I’m a high school student who really needs organization skills. My notebooks told me that I can download the app and I said why not get it a try? Now every day I put my homework in the planner and my assignments scanned. this has helped me a lot, but there are some bugs, such as, when you check off that you done an assignment and then go back to it it sometimes shows up again as “not done” or can show 2/1 completed. Minor bug but very annoying, makes me want to just start using Notes features. The document scans are also blurry. Good app, but minor bugs that are crucial to this app. Thanks :)

Horrible Scanner Quality
I am using a iPhone 14 pro max. However my old iPhone 4 takes better quality photos than the scanner. This is not an exaggeration. This is to show just how low quality the scans are. Use Microsoft lens instead. The quality is much better. This app has lots of potential and I love the way it organizes notes, but the scan quality makes it useless.
Note: The scans also crop about 1.5” from the top and sides so if you write anything in the margins, it won’t appear.

Doesn’t Work Yet
Successfully scanned note page but cannot find it anywhere in the subjects.
Photos
The only 2 issues I have is the fact that I can’t group the photos in each class like I can group flash cards and not photos? I think it would be really helpful so I can group the work on Teaks and not just have them scattered so I have to search for the paper I need. The other thing is I can’t delete extra subjects on the calendar if I'm trying to put something in and accidentally forget to add the subject before it adds a whole new one and you can edit the name of the new one but not delete it. Other than those 2 things I love the app.

Potential, but ultimately disappointing (SUGGESTIONS)
I downloaded this app when I saw the ad on a five star notebook I got for the school year, and although I was initially very excited, the app was ultimately a disappointment. First off, the app has a lot of potential. The google drive integration is perhaps the strongest feature for me. Additionally, the ability to categorize notes into different subjects is also great. This is all well and good. Then there are the flaws, the biggest of which, in my mind, is the blurriness of the scans. I am very used to scanning documents with my phone, but the scanning quality on the fivestar app is simply abysmal. My handwriting looks washed out and pixelated. Having quality scans is the thing that needs to be fixed most urgently. Then there are minor things, such as the inability to rename scans, and the fact that when you take photos of multiple pages, they are shown as multiple documents as opposed to one, scrolling document. FiveStar, I would highly recommend you take a look at Rocketbook’s app and how that works. The scans are very crisp, and multiple scanned pages get put into one single document. Would love to see this app improve over the next month before school really gets started.

It’s ok, desperately needs updated
It’s free so it’s super basic, it would be better if it could take handwritten notes and turn them in to text. But this so just takes a picture basically and helps you organize them then connect with your calendar to set reminders. I’m a little disappointed honestly:/
Wonderful Product But
My notebook has both ruled and grid paper. The scan feature only works on the ruled pages and no matter how carefully I align the qr boxes into the brackets the app will not scan my grid paper notes. Just super frustrating and I hope they are able to fix/address it.

i like how its able to scan and ID what i need for school, and it’s definitely very helpful when im studying, but trying to manually input index cards is weird. it doesn’t allow you to open or expand the “answer” section of it and makes it look weird. pls fix

I love it but I wish they had a written to typed feature. I also wish the bottom line of every page wasn’t cut off.
