I absolutely love this app and I’ve been using it every day and it has improved my swing drastically. It is very reasonably priced although I wish there was an option to pay for the year instead of just monthly. It is very easy to use to set up. I also wish that it could give you tips to improve your swing, according to the date collecting. But even, without those things this app is still amazing. I absolutely love it.
This is the text from an email sent to the developer support previously on 8/3/2023:
1. Please add English subtitles to the help videos so I can learn how to use this app?
2. The app seems to be positioned on an iPad upside down. This causes me to have to rotate my iPad 180° to use, which puts the cable on the left rather than the right.
3. The iPad version does not work at all for me since it only shows 2 of the 6 icons. My iPad is gen 6 running iPadOS 16.6

Nothing works on this app, not sure how it got high ratings but for starters, it says my club head speed is 160mph with a 30 yard wedge shot, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to setup the tripod & angle to the camera properly, it reads ZERO shots I hit off the tee with a driver & will NOT recognize the ball unless it’s moving which makes it impossible to hit any shots off a tee, this app is garbage & it’s way to difficult to use, DO NOT BUY

Regarding the problematic situation, we think that the setup is probably the main issue.
Please be sure to refer to the video in the official setup guide.
A slight tilt, as set up in the video, is not a problem, but be aware that an excessive tilt will increase the correction error.
The recognition of the ball can be stabilized by using the brightness adjustment function.
If it does not work when using the system, please contact our contact support with a picture of the installation situation and we will solve your problem.I saw some YouTube video of a guy that set up a net and played a full round of 18 and I immediately downloaded it and made a makeshift tripod which worked great surprisingly. Either way I figured out if you use the practice ball setting and hit a few shots that you know the yardage that you normally hit with a certain club and adjust the carry distance to your average. I recreated my home course in the course editor and me and my dad have been playing rounds at the house. This app is everything I could dream for since I don’t wanna fork over a bunch of money for a launch monitor

I really want to give this app 7 stars, but I can’t even get it to pick up my golf ball. I’ve adjusted heights of my tripod, lighting… everything! I’m putting on a green putting mat mind you but i haven’t gotten the app to recognize the ball one time (2 days). I’ll be glad to change my rating if I can get some help here.

I saw this app from a fellow golf influencer. I downloaded it and it’s pretty cool!
Pros:
Interactive
Fun to use while golfing
Putting on the home
Hitting at the driving range
Great for face angle for practice
Cons:
Doesn’t read golf balls without perfect lighting
Won’t read practice golf balls (orange Foam Golf ball)
The putting green speed adjustment needs to have more speed range for in home carpet use.
Without perfect lighting it is really had to practice in home.
I really like this app and I know it’s still newer. I hope I can be given permanent access to the pro version as I’d use this app every time I practice in the home or at the range.
If you are interested in giving me a permanent “Pro” access/account I’d really appreciate it. And I’ll keep using and looking for things I like and for improvements.

Golfboy uses image analysis technology, so it is very sensitive to lighting conditions.
Also, since it depends on the lens performance of the iPhone, there may be cases where measurement is difficult depending on the lighting environment.
For indoor use, we recommend the use of simple LED lighting.
The ball should be white, but yellow or orange may also be recognizable depending on the lighting environment.

Please make sure that the ball recognition is stable.
Please confirm that the ball is white and that the color of the floor in the launch direction is not white.
In the latest version, there is a brightness adjustment function,
This can improve the stability of the ball recognition.
As long as the lighting environment is acceptable, this service is used by many users around the world without any problems.
If possible, we would appreciate it if you could try again with the latest version.I’m very glad I didn’t buy a launch monitor, this does it all! I can already see my swing improving from being able to use this indoors and analyze each swing with “shot analysis”

This app has good interface and features. Shot analysis is in itself worth everything. Accuracy need to be improved. My 7 iron swing speed is not even close to 100 mph. But I know the developers will continue to work on making the data match real life metrics. 5 stars
