All functionality is blocked unless you give access to all your photos. Seems fishy and a big privacy concern

There are still a few bugs and UI quirks but I’m still giving it five stars for all its great functionality. I like its unique method of measuring distance (from above) as it makes placing the ball and viewing your shot results very easy to see.
Not sure how the data compares to a “real” launch monitor like a GCQuad but I do like how you can tweak the data for different variables like Range balls.
If you have a tall thin tripod then I highly recommend you testing it out on the trial. Have fun!!

Thank you for your very valuable feedback, Golfboy has been verified for accuracy with certain high-precision launch monitor(not GCQuad) . We also perform actual distance verification in the field. However, there may be an error of +/- 5% depending on ball and grass conditions. We will continue to improve the accuracy and expand many enjoyable features.So glad I randomly stumbled on this app based on a youtube video. Absolutely love the simplicity, and the pairing feature to record swings. Data was nearly identical to rapsodo device, so I returned it.
This is hands-down the best launch monitor I have used. How is this app not number one in its category?
Three things I would love for the app to include.
First, an indication that the pairing is actually connected. Ive had times where connection was bad or something, capture was not triggered on all hits (even hits beyond set yard threshold).
Second, integration with e6 connect and the like so golfboy can work as simulator. This I would gladly pay extra for.
Third, please put out a tutorial on the icons when performing shots. I get the metronome is for putting, but what is that other icon for that looks like a wifi or signal icon?

The radio wave icon is provided as a reconnect button for pairing. This is because it was tedious to read it each time with the camera. To reconnect with the last connected device, the measurement device should have the QR code displayed, and the reading device can be reconnected by pressing the reconnect button with the radio wave icon.
The operation of reading the QR code is no longer necessary.This app surpassed my expectations in terms of registering swings, ease of use and reasonable launch numbers. I believe that this is a great alternative to more expensive options for people looking for basic swing figures. You really get a lot for a modest subscription price from this app and I’m excited to see future improvements!

We are developing it for an early release, so please look forward to it.Saw a YouTube video and thought I’d give this a try. I am so happy with app. It hasn’t crashed or had any glitches. It works indoors and outdoors. It’s data when averaged is quite accurate. Works with full swings, chipping, and putting. Setup instructions are clear and easy. The small monthly subscription is worth it especially when compared to the expensive alternatives available.
Great app to use and see your swing. Love the putter feature. Wish there was a club selection so that you can see the stat difference on clubs.

Please use this feature to improve your putting and club selection in the shot function.This app is really awesome. And the distances seem very consistent. If I top the ball, the shot goes low and short. Flight direction is consistent too. This will definitely help. Maybe it isn’t the exact distances on the range but they are close and like I said, they are consistent. Thank you for an amazing app that will help a lot of people get better at golf.

To get closer to your sense of distance and specific equipment, there is a customize ball feature where you can fine-tune the ball to get closer to your ideal.It’s a great app to use by far the best one on the market I’ve told all my friends to download it. Just wish you guys would make the ball easier to find when it’s on the circle it won’t pick it up because my floors are grey.

Golfboy has an algorithm that detects white balls assuming they are on green grass.
Contrast is important, so if the floor is dark gray, we think it will be easier to recognize the ball.
If you are having trouble with recognition, please send us an image or video of your measurement environment and we may be able to improve it.

Thank you for your continued support.I downloaded this app after seeing a review on YouTube by SAS Golf. Looked intriguing enough. Downloaded the app, setup the tripod, phone mount and attempted to adjust height and locate the ball for about 15 minutes. The image on screen was mirrored, I would move left and it would go right. I would adjust down and it would go up. Finally closed the app, reset the phone and fired it back up. This time the camera tracked in the correct orientation HOWEVER, the camera isn’t focusing. I haven’t found a way to get a clear imagine or make the camera auto focus.
I thought perhaps it was tied to the distance/height of the tripod so I measured and adjust again. Still blurry. I took the phone off the tripod and put it 2 inches away from the ball and slow moved up hoping to find a fixed focal location I could mount the phone to get a clear image but I can’t. I thought maybe it’s my phone’s slow motion camera. Closed the app, fired up the camera and set it to slow motion…what do you know, it’s fine. So I’m not sure how to get it working correctly. The camera struggles to find the ball and record data when the image is blurry. Please. I want to give you money but not as the app sits. I live in the desert so there is only a certain amount of time my phone can be in directly sunlight messing around with settings and distances before it all shuts down and I walk away angry. Maybe I’m the only one with blurry image but my phone and the app are both updated to current version as of 7/11/2022 when I write this. Good luck…
