  • Beyond Pleasantly surprised!!!

I have been learning mah jongg and this app is excellent. I am referring this app to everyone. My friends and I have been looking for an app like this. It is easy to use, easy to learn from and give you hand suggestions. I highly recommend. I believe the most difficult part of mah jongg is picking a hand, finding a section to play, narrowing down what you should pass and this app gives you hand suggestions. Seriously , it is awesome. Thank you.
  • Excellent App

This app is amazing. As a beginner, I rarely feel lost because of the guidance the app gives. The amount of settings and customization on the app is great.

The only thing I wish is that I could fully mute the voice. The setting goes from 25%-100%. I like to listen or watch other things at the same time and the voice cuts through that every time a tile is tossed.
  • Great App for Beginners too

I am a beginner Mahjong player and this app has been great. I have learned so much from being able to play in single player mode. The app mimics true game play and the text instructions help reinforce the flow and rules of the game. “Suggested Hands” and “Sort discard pile” are both nice handicaps for those who are learning.
  • Outstanding

The words below describe my experience perfectly. I couldn’t have said it better! I also want to say the I get a speedy respectful response from the developer each time I email with a comment or question. I’m using it now to help me learn the new 2024 card.

This free site allows the player to look at possible hands during the Charleston and throughout the game. If another player (or bot) has exposed tiles you can also click on their hand and see what hands they are going for. These features alone have helped me become familiar with the card very quickly. I also like that I can make so many adjustments such as the voices of the bots and how the tiles are arranged at the beginning of the game.
  • Great App!

Love this App. This taught me how to play Mahjong after a quick in person lesson with a friend. Tells you when you have done something in error without punishment and has several cards and versions to choose from. Can use in airplane mode too.

  • I keep playing

Culturally, we all know what this is, and how it should play, and this does a good/great job replicating that. UI could be better, but it’s not about that; game play is there plus there minimal ads. Reward outweighs the risk - definitely give it a try.
  • This app is so much help to a novice player!

I’ve started playing again after not playing for over 20 years. The group I play with now moves quickly and I feel like I can’t focus on my strategy very well. This app allows me to take as long as I need to, which I think is helping me feel more confident and proficient. What a wonderful product! I was happy to subscribe (to eliminate the very few ads) and support the developer. Thank you!
  • Hands down the BEST Mahjong App!

I would give more than 5 stars if I could. The set up and options are unlike any other app. The developer is very hands on and receptive to input. His story is amazing so make sure you read it. He constantly updates the app with new features that you’ll always love. You get to vote on certain things he’s developing.

The Mahjong group that I play with love this app. The features are endless and only growing daily. He constantly updates about new things in the app “News” section.

You’re able to adjust the level of difficulty so this app is perfect for beginners, as well as well seasoned Mahjong Players. If you are a beginner, you have the option to use the “suggested hands“ so that you can develop your skill set.

You don’t need four people to play, but you can make a room and invite other people. Again, the choices in this app are endless. Even the names and voices of other players.

One of the things that surprises me is that he just now started putting ads on. You can play this game for free. However, I chose to purchase it because he deserves it for all his hard work. The annual subscription is minimal.

Again, you have to read the bio on the developer. He thanks his mother for all her support. What’s not to love about that?

    Developer Response

Thanks for the incredible review! Feedback like this always puts a smile on my face! Thank you for subscribing as well - while I wish ads weren't necessary and try to keep them minimal, under 1% of players subscribe, so ads necessary to invest in things like server upgrades and (hopefully upcoming) new icon designs.
  • Excellent for learning

One of the best features of this app is the “suggested hands”. As a beginner one tends to read the card very literally not realizing that each hand has many different variants.
I don’t like the way the tiles are added to your tiles: you have your tiles arranged in a certain way and the new tiles are added at random, breaking your organization. It is very annoying

    Developer Response

Thanks for the review! There is a setting to disable automatic hand sorting accessible via the menu in the top right hand corner.
