Disappointed

I was very excited to be able to monitor my energy consumption, however it seems that the app only displays a “graphical bar” with no measure of kw/h or any actual numbers anywhere.

The system is measuring something, I would have assumed it could have given the specifics on that.

A nice update would be to include the kw/h for the month. Also an area to input what the customer is paying per kw/h from their electric company, the app could then at least give an estimated cost per month to run.

As it is now it’s useless to homeowners, it should also provide some feedback to the homeowner on the condition and health of the system.

If I could go lower, I would

Just recently bought and had installed an Bosch heat pump.

The app is of zero value and it took almost a month to get it working. Multiple layers of authentication for what reason, I have no idea.

Today is Sept 19th and it’s still showing August in the info tab.

Wishing I could get some help before the winter sets in

Not Useful

I wish there was a way for homeowners to use this without needing a verification code from the installer. I seemingly paid for this functionality, but can’t use it because the installer had no idea how to provide me access. I asked over six months ago about this and the developers said they were working on it. Obviously not a priority. I’d rather save some money and not have unusable tech.

App not registering data

I am a homeowner and had a brand new unit installed April 2023. This Bosch app is not showing me ANY data for energy usage, etc…. Called the HVAC licensed installer-they did a site visit, troubleshooted, and have no idea why this app is not pulling data from the IDS 2.0 premium registered gateway ODU. They reached out to Bosch contractor support and Bosch is also stumped. Should have stuck with Carrier, sad to say. Awful.

Obsessed with privacy and withholds all info from system owner

This app offers NO information to the system’s owner other than a monthly “energy usage” graph with no points of reference. The developer appears to have been working with a constraint that even this information is so sensitive and private that installing and launching the app requires multiple levels of authentication from the user — and reauthentication if it has not been launched in, say, a month. Most system owners would not need their next dose of useless information outside of that interval, so they have to authenticate all over again. Bosch uses THIS APP as a selling point for its heat pump systems, which include an electronic module whose purpose is reporting data. Tragic misuse of resources. The entire structure behind the app needs to be rewritten, including the concepts of privacy and privileges.

App is almost useless for “homeowners”

This app unfortunately hides all the information about your heat pump system from the “homeowner” view. On the contractor/admin side of the app they are able to see the operational parameters and overall system health, generate a PDF report of the system’s data, etc.

However for a “homeowner”, this data is all hidden. There seems to be no way to circumvent this, despite owning and paying for the equipment and having to authorize the contractor to view system data.

Even the information Bosch allows “homeowners” to see is pretty sparse and useless. For instance, the “energy usage” screen is just a bar graph with no relative unit of measure or any scale on the Y axis. What value does this data bring to anyone? “Energy usage” is just a vertical bar graph with no unit of reference to give it any meaning.

The only reason I say “almost” useless is because I believe that in the instance of a major system fault the app might inform me to call my contractor or something.. although I have not confirmed that it will do this.

I believe Bosch should enable the owner of the equipment to see available data. Maybe give us an “advanced mode” for those of us who wish to view it.
