Doesn’t fit screen
My husband received an email stating that we needed to switch to this app. I did. The full screen is not visible on my phone. The tabs at the bottom are mostly off the screen. I have an iphone se2020. I double checked that I downloaded the correct app. It’s not ok that I can’t see the tabs
Terrible app/thermostat
The app /thermostat are supposed to be on a schedule. The app doesn’t change the temperature when it’s supposed to. I constantly have to go in and select the schedule again and “edit” and finish. The + and - signs under the current temp don’t work; not sure why they’re there. I woke up at 11:45 pm roasting and had to make the app change the temperature again. You would think Bosch could come up with an app that actually works with the thermostat. You’re better off with an old fashioned programmable thermostat.

Downgrade from previous app
I miss the old Bosch app; it looked better, programming was easier, and it was designed for iPad too. The only good thing about this app is seeing the humidity level. That’s it. It was really annoying when the programming didn’t transfer from the old app to the new one. I expected more from Bosch. I wish I could go back to the old app.

New app makes it harder to control my heatpump & furnace
Unfortunately this app is a step backwards from the old app. It takes more time to change the temperature on the thermostat or even check the temperature. Keep it simple Bosch!
As useless as it gets
Contractor version of the app? That’s top-tier, absolutely. But for us homeowners? Well, it’s almost like Bosch said, “Let’s make them feel included,” and handed us a digital paperweight. Why even release this thing if it’s as helpful as a chocolate teapot?
So, about the energy usage data: Bosch’s info sheet really got my hopes up with that one. I’m thinking, “Oh, real-time energy data, this’ll be great!” But nope – it’s monthly. Monthly. Because who wouldn’t want to wait 30 days to see a rough estimate of their energy use?
And the charts! Bosch must have a particular fondness for gray. Every chart looks like it’s auditioning to be the next monochrome trend. Apparently, color doesn’t make the cut, nor do actual numbers. You get a handy little percentage comparing this month’s use to the last, and that’s it. So helpful! Because guessing is what I really wanted.
And those local temperature readings? I’m guessing Bosch consulted a sundial because they’re either wildly inaccurate or refresh every few hours… hard to know.

From poor to terrible
This replacement app awful. It will not even let me access numbers in the password screen on my iPad so I can only use my phone. The connection keeps saying there are WiFi problems, but the thermostat is connected and works fine manually. Never had these problems with older app. Do not recommend this and also do not like how system data is hidden from me, the person who paid for the unit

It doesn’t work on my Iphone
I’ve been trying to install the new app on my iPhone for over a month now, but it still isn’t working. I reached out to Bosch for support, and they mentioned that there’s an issue with the app on my phone. However, it’s been several months, and the problem hasn’t been resolved.
This keeps it concise while highlighting the ongoing issue.

Works pretty well
Like others, I was forced to “upgrade” from the older home connect app. As others have mentioned there is a 5 second delay to show the current temperature which is annoying. Other than that seems to work fine. I also like that it shows humidity. Besides the delay issue I’d say it’s a pretty good app. I have 3 thermostats on 3 zones.

Response from developer
Hello Tjpd3, Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate your insights and are glad to hear you like the humidity feature and that the app works well overall. We understand the 5-second delay in showing the current temperature can be frustrating, and we’re actively working on improvements to enhance performance. Your input is invaluable, and we’ll keep striving to make the app even better!
App has problems love thermostat
I really like the thermostats. I have three of them at my church.
The new app can be a pain when it comes to programming the schedule if you have a time set for 12pm it shows 12am on the app if you change temp before 12pm.
When you use auto setting when the heat kicks on it shows a blue 1 instead of a red 1. Also if you open thermostat where you can change all the settings it doesn’t show the updated info unless you go back to main screen and then back to the thermostat screen.
