Amazing APP
Easy to use and since Bluetooth it’s on pretty much all G-Shock watches. This app comes pack with allots functionalities that allows your watch to be setup with ease and be customize as you like.
Various bugs
Keeps delinking from Strava. Have to reload app to get it to pull updates from watch. Doesn’t send heart rate to Strava for gym workouts.
Randomly didn’t send heart rate again to Strava for walking even though it has the data and sent it to Apple Health. Developers really need to up their game, there’s no excuse to be this bad for this long. I’m super close to just getting an Apple Watch because of the crappy phone app, the watch itself is fine.

shouldn't need an account to set the time on my watch

Now needs continuous Location?
This seems to have been updated recently to require continuous Location. This is very bad. Please revert to (at most) require while using App. EDIT: it's got even worse - the app now completely broken until recreating account. I have several Bluetooth MR-G watches - completely unacceptable and irresponsible for Casio to wreck this app: please concentrate on excellent Bluetooth experience and less on the data harvesting "social" nonsense no-one wants.

Misguided
I think they focus shouldn’t be on ads for new watches you should highlight the company’s socials and stuff people tag on socials. This should also be a secondary page not the primary page. Battery level should be viewable right off the menu where it displays your watches you should have to click to my watch to find out battery level. It would also be cool to have a more accurate representation of charge level and maybe track the battery life and show me some sort of stats on it.

App does not work
I bought my Casio DW-H5600 in Tokyo. At first, I downloaded a couple of G-Shock apps which redirected me to Casio Watches app. On downloading the Casio Watches app, I get first 1-2 screens but then it blanks out. I have tried downloading the app at least 10 times and it still does not work. However, I had the app on a different iphone where it worked as usual. Wondering if downloading discontinued G-Shock apps is interfering with Casio Watches app from working.
On a different note, I would like to see an option for steps to replace the heart rate on one of the watch faces. Monitoring steps is more critical to me then knowing second by second heart rate.

Good hardware held back by terrible app
Summary: if you're happy keeping all your data in the CASIO app, you're fine. However the features to sync to Apple Health are still very buggy and broken. Exported workout data is missing a lot of heart rate data points (it only exports one data point per min), and there are some metrics like resting heart rate that aren't being saved to Apple Health for some weird reason. Like others said, why is it only walking, running, or gym? Not to mention the app home page is ads for more G-SHOCKs (gross). I really want to love this watch. Like others said, a good health tracker that's not a smart watch is something a lot of people want. But CASIO, please, please make the workout data export and accuracy much less buggy. I can't rely on it in its current state.

Boring app - needs simple map upgrade
The time point saving for the gps map is useless currently unless I export all the coordinates and plot them on a map. Please spend a few engineering hours making this feature interesting. Show me all the places I’ve been with my G Shock. Integrate with Apple photos to tell me stories. Give me a reason to open this app besides your bland product announcements. Otherwise I’ll soon be disconnecting location sharing from Casio permissions. What’s the point?

App is confusing and too primitive
- One cant easily find their way around this app
- features, look and feel are all primitive, as if was developed for a school project!
I own an MTG which is a very sophisticated watch but I don't see the app resonating with it. For example, I expect when I travel that the time (and dual time) adjustments are easier and that they can be manually enforced or edited through the app, but no luck. Another example, the battery and solar charging stats are broken and mean nothing really.
Shame on Casio unless they launch a project team to upgrade this soon.

Toggle switches. needs better colours
it difficult to know if a option. has been selected as there’s only dark and light. it would be best. if toggle on is green toggle off red. Then dark and light. I was having synch problems only to find the it wasn’t enabled correctly it turns out that dark is on and light is off. Very frustrating.
