Reviews of Vinyls

  • I loved this app

I want to say I absolutely loved this app. Getting the nostalgia of using records for your Apple Music library was so fun. Loved using this on my iPad to have connected to my stereo to give a vibe for hanging out at the house. Now, fast forward to today when I come to learn that the features I was using I have to now pay for? Either annually or a lifetime for $50? I get being a business and more money means more development of more apps. Just feels like a lot to access and play music I already pay a service for. It be better just to charge for the download of the app. I can see paying $5 to unlock “pro features” if you already had the app downloaded and wanted more. This app went from fully functional to asking for money for features that were already being used so it just felt off. I just personally see the benefit of the money options you’re currently offering. I wish you al the best in this. I’ll miss this app.
  • Doesn't Play Music

I have Apple Music, but none of my songs play when I click. I can press play/pause, but the run time stays at 0:00 and the only noise I could get was the crackle and pop from the toggle-able setting.
  • Fun visual way to experience your music

I love using this app to play my playlists. I have custom artwork for each one and they look fantastic on the animated vinyl cover. So much attention to detail went into the visuals of this app (the arm moves towards the center of the record throughout the song!). I have a lot of older music in my library (50s/60s) but they’re the remastered version.. the crackle and pop affect makes it sound like the original. It looks great when I’m playing music with my phone propped up on its charging stand. I can’t wait to try out the iPad and Apple TV apps. Overall very well done.
