Daily limit doesn’t work properly
Nice idea but very limited. Only 3 games and the rewards are small to the cost of repairs. But the biggest problem is the daily limit doesn’t work. If you don’t get to 500 in one day it then rolls over to the next and once you reach 500 you have to wait another day for it to reset.Tiggerjcm

I normally love Jacquie Lawson’s work but this one, while a lovely idea, is SO frustrating. Only three game options, two of which (the card games) earn SO FEW points per play that it takes forever to accumulate enough points to make any real changes. Fix the music
The music still doesn’t work: this is going to have to be sorted before this year’s advent calendar. And no, it isn’t my iPad. The sound works fine in all other apps.
The game itself? Well, it’s pretty, and a nice idea, but poorly thought through. The effort-to-reward ratio is badly skewed, there is less animation than I was expecting (much less than in the garden game issued a few years back), and the limited range of games available (one is completely pointless) will ensure most of us lose interest before progressing to any of the extensions.

Lovely graphics—what I could see on the main screen—but very poor functionality. My device meets all the tech criteria for successful installation, but the app won’t proceed past the first screen. I tried to uninstall/reinstall, as well as made multiple attempts to complete the first task (my “funds” were extracted each time), but I couldn’t advance in the game. Sometimes I inexplicably got an “unable to connect to server message;” other times, nothing. Contacting customer service was totally useless. Very glad I didn’t pay for this.Show lessPKP1970
Needs fixing
The points counted showed I got 500 points today but only show 134 which was yesterday’s balance. I only played a couple of games so how could I get 500 already and why does it not show in the accumulated balance?
Also the repairs are so high in points you can only make one then you are thru for the day. Why not give us members bonuses?

Love the Country Cottage, but the time of day is off.
I’ve noticed that the time of day is off by about 12 hours. When I visit the cottage at 9:30 in the morning the game tells me I have already earned my 500 points for that day, but I can continue to play just for fun. If I visit the Country Cottage at 9:30 at night, I am able to play the games and earn points. I’ve looked everywhere to find out how I can contact JL about this issue, but there isn’t any place to contact the developer. So I am here posting a review, hoping they will see this and fix the problem. I do not want to play the games late at night in order to receive points to fix my cottage. Please help! I love Jackie Lawson art and the Country Cottage theme is appealing, but I’m having a hard time earning enough rewards to do the decorating. Solitaire seems very hard, and points earned even on the jewel game seems low compared to what you need to spend to clean or decorate. 🙁

Lovely, but needs adjustments
I agree with Rabbit Pal. I love the graphics, but I get tired of playing these same three games for about 30 minutes in order to earn enough points to accomplish one or two things around the cottage. The point values need to be adjusted, or there needs to be more ways to earn points. I wish I could explore more, like I could with the advent calendar. I would glad pay for this if it could be a little more interesting.Show lesssbenson3
Wonderful Graphics, but I have a few suggestions
I love the graphics! But unless I’m missing something there are only three games to play and though the graphics in them are lovely they aren’t so exciting that I want to play them over and over...and I have to do that in order to win enough points to do anything to the house or garden. I get around 25 points even if I win a game and every chore I want to buy costs 150 points or more. So I suggest you plan more games, give more points for winning or playing and reduce the cost of putting things to rights.Show lessRabbit Pal
Good idea
I like it, it’s a really nice idea and the music is great a really calm way to while away a few spare minutes. The games are rather boring though so it would be nice to have more choice, also it takes far too long to accumulate enough points to actually do anything which becomes really frustrating, especially when the games are boring!Show lessBabsJune
