  • Error when trying to watching on tv

    When having my phone hooked up with an hdmi cable to my tv it has that it can’t stream and error message keeps on popping up. Can watch it on my phone but as soon as I have it connected to my tv it has unavailable

    Hello, and thank you for reaching out to Astound Broadband. The AstoundTV+ app is intended for wireless streaming. When your phone is directly connected to a TV via an HDMI cable, the app will not work as intended. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for being part of the Astound service family. -Jackie
  • Sporadic

    The app use to work great; however, now I can only stream if I’m on my home network and it constantly crashes. Very unreliable.

  • Can't run app in background

    Every tv channel app I use can be minimized and run in the background while I am doing other stuff. Not so with this app. This is terrible. I can't even use Apple's split screen feature when the App is open. Also, you can't record shown. Other than that it works.

    What is the point of having a mobile app when users can only access content on their home network?

  • Advance not allowed!

    Same as RCN2GO it replaced, except “advance not allowed” so you have to watch commercials - skipping thru them the main reason for having a DVR. Also my Astound bill has gone up 150% since my subscription started. Time to switch to Spectrum.

    According to rep i spoke to today, It’s worse than i thought. It seems Astound TV+ app DOES NOT work with current Tivo boxes used with Astound/RCN. We would have to trade them in for another DVE - not Tivo box. Tivo interface is main reason i use RCN/Astound. Terrible! So no mobile app with current Tivo boxes.

  • Doesn’t work - as expected

    Please, if you do anything for yourself in 2023, do not do business with astound. Worst company I have interacted with in the past few years. Performance issues, poor customer service, and incompatibility are just a few of the problems i’ve faced. Go to AT&T or youtube tv.

  • Does not show “my shows”

    This app does not show our recorded programs. It’s says here that iPhone 14 is supported. But Astound help says it is not.

  • App is a waste of tome, whole company has been disappointing.

    This company cannot get their act together. Download the app to find it will not let you stream anything. It works sporadically on your phone but you are unable to stream to anything big enough to actually see. Why pay for an account that doesn’t let you watch what you pay for?
