  • Great slow paced game

    This is a great game!!
I’m a busy person so I like a game I can do 10-15 minutes of playing and come back in 2 hours or more
Played for about a week now and havnt deleted it so it is keeping my attention.
As long as they keep updating and adding new features I’ll be happy

  • Love this game

I have been playing this for months now and am thoroughly enjoying the game. Each challenge to defeat enemies gets harder making the gathering and crafting of equipment essential to your success. Wood and stone are gathered to upgrade buildings to give your heroes extra help and there’s even one for extra heroes! I’m excited to see an update for the game as I was on my 5th rebirth and wasn’t wanting to get to the end of the game. I had heard that the 6th rebirth is the last. I definitely recommend this game.

  • Missing a key feature

I really like the game so far, and was a big fan of VFO for years. My only problem with this game is that there is no way to reset progress or get rid of heroes. I didn’t know that the list reset itself, and thought the options presented were all I could get. I ended up with characters I didn’t particularly like the look of, and on trying to replace them or delete and re-install the app I found I was stuck with them. Even vfo lets you have four character slots and delete any of them if you want to. I was happy to see your studio make a new game with the same art style, but without a do-over (and not just a partial rebirth) it’s just not doing it for me. Still 4/5 because I’m hoping for a second chance

  • Downgraded to 1 star

Original review: I normally detest city building games as they all feel like copies of each other - BUT this game does it in a really fresh and innovative way. It has the same “style” and vibe that Vampire’s Fall has and I’m really enjoying that. I’d say the only thing missing - from having played a couple of hours - is more of a story/plot to pull me in. There are quests like “stop the shaman gathering” but I don’t know why I’m supposed to do that. Where are we and why? More storyline please. Apart from that it’s a brilliant game and worthy of 5 stars. Well done.

Update: it’s been months now and the game turned out to be quite the disappointment. I think the main issue is how terribly bad the release of the game was managed - it was clearly released too early as content in the original release basically was for a week work of play. THEN the company doubled down on bad ideas and simply added some small areas with high level bosses that you you just had to throw some waves of heroes against to win. Another 10 hours or so of content (active time: 10 minutes maybe). The game had real potentials but whoever is in charge of how content was released and structured really failed here. You can’t just release a game with minimum content and then every other month add “content” that is 10-15 minutes of actual play time. It’s also just the same over and over - a new tower or wagon with super high enemies that you have to grind down to win. Uninstalled.

  • Good game

The game is good compared to the other games of this nature on the market. It could be great however with a more details combat system, Choosing skill points and pathways for character development etc.
  • Overall good, disappointing endgame

When you finish clearing the map you get the option to reset and the enemies respawn with higher stats and greater resources from resource mines. The problem is by the second or third reset you should have reached the complete endgame gear for the moment. Halfway through my first resent I maxed all support buildings and research so there isn’t a lot I can do to progress besides grind the respawning opponents for gold and use that to buy the max tier 6 gear for my party. I’m just now on resent three and besides two or three final bosses my team can one shot everything with tier 4~5 gear on average. It’s a bit disappointing that I’ve hit the end of research and equipment on reset 1 when the torches at the end show at least 6 total. Halfway through reset 3 and hoping they add more endgame content so the next three resets are not just more of the same.

  • Enjoying the game

So far enjoying the game. Took a bit to understand how to play but that’s part of the adventure.

I would like to see some story and text happening in the game. Regarding a story and among the characters. Just like maybe dialog bubbles and such.

I don’t like micro transactions and the very long grind. It could be improved as now I only open the game once or twice a day. That’s how long I have to wait between healing the party or getting wood and stone. This is not a desktop game. Mobile means FASTER! Speed up the game.

  • Best mobile RPG game I’ve played in a long while

I came across this game from an ad in a different game I was playing at the time.

I read some of the reviews and what stuck out to me was that people were talking about how this game wasn’t a walk in the park, that it is challenging, and in many instances takes strategy to win.

Things like character special abilities, aligning loadouts, and attack positions all play an integral role in your success or failure, plus, it has the idle game aspect that automates resource gathering and healing while you are away.

I’m about 15-20 hours of actual gameplay in (about a week or so after making my account) and I don’t feel burned out with a grind but still find myself checking in regularly to see if my heroes have healed enough to set off another attack.

Clearly I’m not at the beginning of the game so I can’t judge how they are handling end game, but, from what I’m seeing so far, I can’t wait to see what’s in store!

  • This game is great

It’s good to have a game that works in the background rather than having to login just to tap resources. The only thing I would like is more buildings to construct. Maybe more will be available but I just haven’t played long enough yet.
  • Good game overall.

Slow progress. Fun but if I would suggest I think need more side quest and resources rewards a bit too little.
And random enemies should pop up more cause I don’t see them very often.
When you need to level up new characters a bit too hard cause no small monsters, need to go with the group to fight with higher level monsters.
