This is why so many people pirate streams

The fact that you still, in 2021 cannot subscribe and stream games without cable, is insane. The intention of this app is to use your existing cable provider, at some point, to be able to stream the games, by using your cable account to login. The problem is that the owners of this franchise continue to engage with these antiquated ideas of delivering content to their fans that their fans don’t use. People are cutting the cable and using streaming services. I can’t tell you the number of people I’ve met that stopped following the Nats or the Os simply because they had to find illegal streams online just to watch them, or go through the hassle of getting an MLB subscription and using a VPN. All the owners need to do is give the fans the ability to subscribe to watch the games to the team we love directly, in market, without a cable provider, like it’s not still 2009.

Disappointing Content

Why have an app that doesn’t provide at minimum all the content found on the website? I expected to at least find all the articles about the Nationals and Orioles found on the website but none are to be found. Only short video archives are present.

Leaves so much to be desired

The only reason this app gets more than 1 star is because it eventually works. Between having to login to my TV provider every single day, watch at least a dozen commercials before actually getting to watch a game, and being at LEAST 5 minutes behind the live game, this is overly frustrating to use. Once it actually tunes in, it’s usually ok, but it is a mediocre product (at best) from a mediocre network. Welcome to 2010!

FIOS now working. New shortcomings...

I'm now able to login successfully using my FIOS credentials, so upping my rating from one to two stars. Holding back on an improved rating until: Comcast and other major TV services are added and AirPlay is an option. Screen mirroring is a lesser solution for slinging to my Apple TV, but will have to do for now.

App works just fine if your TV provider is supported.

Now that they’ve finally added Verizon FiOS, I can actually watch games on the App. Taking off 1 star because of the delay on getting FiOS added to the app. Also, ran into some problems authenticating my FiOS account on the app. Not sure if it was a MASN problem or a FiOS problem. Either way, it’s now fixed and working fine. They update it with videos regularly and there really aren’t any glitches.

Unfortunately, if you have Xfinity like the majority of the Greater Baltimore Area, the app still doesn’t have Xfinity support, so you won’t be able to watch the games on your phone/tablet. This is as of 5/4/21.

Add Xfinity

For right now the app is trash. It gets two stars because I can still watch post and pre game interviews or listen to the podcast. The trash part comes with the fact that I can’t stream the actual games is arcane. At some point they have to add Xfinity. I’m 15 so I have to rely on my parents. My mom has Dish but is unwilling to drop it and my dad has Xfinity. I personally don’t blame him for not dropping with Xfinity because NBC Sports and almost everything else has it. Why not the MASN app? Once it’s added, obviously my review and opinion will change. Until then this app will pretty much waste space on my phone.

Waited so long for trash

No display of scores, schedules or rosters. I would be more than glad to pay $10 or more a month just to watch MASN and MASN 2. I live 2 hours from Baltimore and DC, there is no reason to have to pay $80+ a month for a Tv provider to watch my local baseball team. LET PEOPLE PAY PER MONTH JUST TO WATCH MASN AND I GUARANTEE THERE WILL BE MORE HAPPINESS AND SATISFACTION.

So wrong!

First off, the only good review was posted before the app was even available. We were looking forward to this FINALLY being available. Why can’t MASN just charge something and let people watch. Basically, MASN has said they don’t care about all the fans that want to watch.

Add More TV Providers!

I found out, very rudely, on opening day that I was no longer able to watch MASN with my Dish subscription, so after 13 years of service I canceled Dish and started Fios. Now I still can’t stream games on the app with Verizon? Do you want me to not be able to watch the Orioles, because it’s seems like your making it pretty hard to watch a game this year!

Super disappointed

You can’t watch games unless you get cable from Dish or 3 random small cable companies. So it’s worthless, even though I have FIOS and already pay for MASN. There is no ability to pay to see it either. The app is also otherwise worthless.
