Please add rock samples!
I absolutely love this app.
I struggle with putting together instrumentals (before this I had lyrics written for 10 songs with no instrumentals, I now have 3 demo recordings after 1 day of having this app), so would absolutely recommend to anyone I meet!
However, please consider adding some rockier/grunge/alternative tracks to work with, it would be a massive help to me, and I’m sure to many others too, and would just take this app from being great to excellent.
I hope the developers read this and consider adding that in, would be highly appreciated by folks using this app that prefer a more alt taste and want more options other than the current “alternative” sample tracks.Show lessSully2307

Awesome app but some suggestions..
I love this app! I’ve never had anything like it and it makes it very easy for me to jot down my musical ideas. I do think the chords aspect of the app needs some improving: 1. There is no option to add an augmented chord. Seems most other chord options are there, but I was surprised when I could not find an option to make the chord augmented anywhere. 2. Sometimes it does not play the correct chord back (for instance, if I have an Eb9 chord, it just plays a regular Emaj chord)

First, thank you so much for the kind words! Second, adding augmented chords sounds like a great idea! We'll see what we can do there. Regarding the Eb9, do you mean the Eb 9, or the E b9. I think you're referring to the flat 9 chord, which our root shape starts with the E maj on the lower octave, but it adds the 7 (D) and flat 9 (F) in the upper octaves. If you’re like me and your mind moves a million miles a minute with words and melodies but you get slowed down by the technicalities of changing keys, trying different progressions, trying to mastermind the music side… then this app takes that factor away!
Another problem I had with songwriting is I have all these random Lyrics and music and I don’t have the patience to go back and listen to a hundred voice memos. Here I can record it with some real quick edits (and even add drums, lyrics, etc.) and come back to a whole thought. It makes it so much easier for me to get to a finished product! It’s decent
I’ve been trying to put a song together with lyrics for a while now, I feel like this hits on many of the things I want in an app like this. I put the chords together, and there is a nice handy lyrics rhymer. You can choose from a variety of different chord shapes which is nice and easy to use.
Issue is, there’s just stuff missing that I feel I need. A way to add melody. Different time signatures like 6/4, 7/8. Tempo changes. Maybe even just a chord builder so I can just layout a custom chord rather than the preset.
I do feel this has helped me in my simpler songs, but there isn’t much control to create more complex songs, at least as of right now.
Overall I’d say give it a go since it’s free, but I’d like to know they’ll add some of these features before I commit to a subscription.Show lessz0mbiebanana
Good Beginners App
I got this app because I am a songwriter, and it’s hard sometimes to figure out the correct rhythms for different sections of a song. This app has a lot of different choices for that, but the layout is frustrating, because you can’t add sections in between others, for example, I can’t add a verse in between a chorus and a bridge. You have to create them in order, which is annoying for someone like me who changes things a lot as they go. But overall this is a pretty helpful app for the average songwriter.Show lessellebasy95
Great writing tool for inspiration on the fly!
This is a great app. As a songwriter, inspiration can hit at not so convenient times. If you’re instrument isn’t available this acts as a chordal foundation to build Melodie’s and phrasing. Downloaded it about an hour ago and have already written a complete song in a style that is not typical of my writing. Very cool.
P.s. can we get a chord edit feature with a piano scroll so more advanced writers/players can build a chord manually?Show lessSnapdragon808

I can’t recommend this app enough. I made my best song ever the first day I got this app. It helps so much with creating a steady and consistent tempo, structure, and sound to your song. I’ve become so much more confident in my songwriting skills after I got this app and now I never want to stop writing.
