Legit, community just needs to grow

This app is legit. Very well designed with good prompts for climbers. I’ve seen no fake profiles. The membership base just needs to grow.

Location matters

I tried this in Oklahoma, and the app showed me like 5 people, and I might have matched with one of them. I moved to Denver, and the app is much better.

Met my life partner

Downloaded the app as a sort of cute way to meet friends and climbing partners, now I’m moving in with my boyfriend who I met on the app. We adventure and climb all the time! 10/10 would recommend

No users

There’s nobody on this app, like at all. Nobody. I paid the $20 just because I was curious (you have to pay to change your location more than once a week). I’ve just been adjusting my location to different climbing destinations all over the country just to see…….I swipe through everyone. It’s done after 20 profiles in every place. I haven’t gotten even one single match (and that’s never a problem on any other app). I think I’m just seeing a bunch of people who set up a profile like a year ago and then just stopped checking and forgot about it. Good idea, but they need to promote it more or something.

Unbelievably buggy

False badge icons which indicate a notification but when you open the app… nothing! Failure to modify when I’ve received a message. Basically, notifications just don’t work on this app.

They’ll use your profile in ads

Unbeknownst to me, they used my profile in Facebook ads and a friend saw it. Unfortunately it’s in the fine print but seriously, that’s pretty rotten. Get some stock photos and write profiles for your ads. Or, at the very least, ask a user before posting their profile in marketing campaigns.

While flattering, I didn’t appreciate getting likes from guys half my age. They’re not in my age range but apparently I’m in theirs. The algorithm needs work

Great idea, needs waaaaay more promotion

Needs a whole lot more advertisment, there is a need for this ad. Contact the local gyms… get advocates.
Reason for 2 star: unlike other apps, once you hit X on a profile, that never gonna come back… I ran out of profiles in the first 1 days of using this app, and 2 weeks later still 0 profiles are being shown. If you have a smaller user based you could show the same profiles from the begining at least after 1-2 days showing nothing. For now, in a densly populated area in the middle of CA - i cant aee much use of this.

Hi there, thanks for the feedback. Boulder is still growing, so your patience is appreciated. An option to re-review profiles you disliked will be coming soon. In the meantime, please reconsider your rating if you want to encourage other climbers around you to join Boulder.

App doesn’t work

Can’t create a profile with either FB or apple app just keeps saying “something went wrong” or “can’t creat user”

Hi there, it sounds like your account was most likely deleted because we couldn't verify your profile. All members are required to participate in verification for safety and security. If you'd like to try again, please email boulder@windfallapps.com to have your account info reset.

Quality people

This is not a huge app, but it is perfect for climbers!
I have had a few nice matches on there and I would highly recommend it as a download

Fun app! 🧗🏻‍♀️

I downloaded this app after hearing about it on a podcast. So far, I’ve met two people on climbing dates :) Even if the user base is still small, it’s still fun (and funny) to share the app with your climbing buddies since the questions are climbing focused! Thanks for the cool app :)
