Simple and effective.
Just paste a link (from goodreads, Amazon, a journal) and it automatically fetches all the metadata you could want.
Simple to use, developer collects no data. Beautiful. Thank you Sven!
It doesn’t work
Works great
Finally, a Zotero Uploader!
I do have a few requests that would make this even better:
1. Ability to add more tags, currently, you can only select from pre-existing tags on the Zotero library. The same goes for all other fields, ability to change, amend, and edit other fields is quite important.
2. Native ability to mix with apps like PDF expert, or other PDF annotation apps. Currently it looks like
3. For some reason, my folders within my directory online aren’t coming through, so I can’t select which folders this file goes into.
4. Ideally, if I could also access PDFs online and then draw on them, that would be even better, but I think Zotero has a native app coming out soon that might be able to help with that.
Response from developer
Thank for the review. We are happy to accommodate reasonable requests and, as such, we will add the ability to add more tags on the fly in the next revision. We can also add more fields to edit in the "Edit metadata" section, but fear it will clutter the interface. In any case, we'll investigate that option. Currently, it is possible to import PDFs (annotated or not) from other apps by sharing them with Uploader-for-Zotero. We could try to add bi-direction sharing so that PDFs that are downloaded by the Uploader can be edited before upload. In the next revision, we will add the ability to attach an alternative PDF (instead of the one that the app would download per default). As such, annotated PDFs can be uploaded easily. Note that PaperShip allows to annotate PDFs that have been uploaded to Zotero, so it works great in combination with our app. Finally, I would kindly ask you to get in touch with regards to the folders issue. You can either send us an email (info__at__trillia__dot__co__dot__uk) or raise a new issue at https://github.com/trilliaapp/zoterouploader/issues. We will do our best to fix this issue. Updated response: The new revision (1.4) should address a number of your issues (ability to upload annotated PDF, adding new tags on the fly, missing collections/directories). In the next revision (1.5) we will include more fields (pages/volume number/abstract/etc.).
Didn’t work no matter what i tried ..

Hi hdevarajan, thank you for your review. We regret that the app doesn't work for your use-case. The application seems to work fine with the abstract pages found on SSRN. For example: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=987945 Are you trying to upload directly from the PDF URL (i.e., https://poseidon01.ssrn.com/delivery.php)? If so, we will unfortunately not be able to support this use-case as the SSRN PDF URLs cannot be mapped back to their original abstract page. Additionally, SSRN requires a login on certain PDF URLs which prevents the app from accessing the PDF for download. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to support SSRN PDFs in the future. Updated response: We now support SSRN PDFs (as of version 1.3).

Hi Neoarch, thank you for the review. Please ask for a refund through the app store if you are unhappy with the application. I'd appreciate if you could report the list of websites that do not work for you. In particular, I invite you to try the latest version of the app which fixes an number of issues.
