  • Tbh, It’s not bad but not good. ( ̄ヘ ̄) (╥﹏╥)

I don’t mean to be rude but the app does not work correctly, when I scan a rock it will give me random rocks even if I use the same rock, and when I use a photo it will give me random results like pink opal and shale. And it always show the trial which says it will show the accurate rock but I saw some reviews saying it’s fake so please fix your app.

  • Love this

This app is really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really helpful I enjoy using it because I have a bunch of rocks I need to kind of know what they are.
  • Texas App User

This app is awful. In the last few days (Aug 3 & 4, 2023) you take a picture then you wait and wait but the identification never comes. Previously, the app would make an ID but never the same ID twice. The same rock would be ID’d as agate, then petrified would, then biotite, etc. At this stage, since it no longer even works I’d like my money back!

  • This App is Fire

I broke this potato looking rock and there was some odd looking quartz inside so I decided to get this awesome app to identify the quality and what the rock is. This App is pretty cool. No Subscriptions Nothing about a premium, everything is free. Keep up the good work
  • So so

Out of three rocks I scanned. I think the first was correct. The second was an obvious misidentification. The third scan failed because I couldn’t figure out how to get past the advertisement and I am not willing to pay to test an app.
  • Very interesting!

A few weeks ago I were doing A rock project for science class, and we needed to identify different kinds of rocks and what they are. So I downloaded this app, and use the information about the rocks. And I got an A+ 100% on my project! If I were you guys download this app very useful!
  • Awful

Try rock identifier instead . It’s usually correct. It seems that this one gives me a choice of several different rocks to decide on my own what they are.
  • Mary Cowen: review

I have some cut gemstones that are unheated and untreated and the app identified them wrong as soda light for example on a sapphire.
My diamond that I just had evaluated for appraisal- the app said was crackle glass. I have some extra large rubies that I mined for and it told me that they were feldspar! They’re OBviously RUBIES as they glow under UV lights. It wasn’t correct 90%of the time as I have been gel mining for some years now. It also did not acknowledge my sapphires in many colors. All of these were testing positive on the diamond selector 2. I am not at all HAPOY with this app and plan on quitting on my first day of the 6 day trial period.

Sorry, just didn’t work out for me!

  • Awesome

For a free rock identifier, you can’t beat it. It messes up sometimes, but normally the answer is within the list or will correct itself if you take a better picture. Thanks
  • Not very accurate…canceling is difficult

This app wasn’t very accurate in identifying the minerals and gems. I’m a teacher and thought this would’ve fun with my students. I have been trying to cancel the subscription after the trial. Still trying to stop it. Now I am having apple try and stop it.
