It’s fun but should be free
Out of about 40 rocks I believe this app got 10 correct. Was a lil disappointed it was wrong on-a lot of the common stones and surprisingly was correct in a few of my harder rocks .Hiiiii I'm Marlee
App does not work how described.
This app is completely useless for anyone, never less a geologist…. Literally just gives you five varieties of common rock matter what you take photos of.DuReview
Rock finder
It seems to me that rock finder gets it right maybe 1 out of 8 times. I told my rock hound son about the app. He tried it and felt disappointed. I commend you trying to do this and hope that the app improves.sigmund frued
Big mistake
I was looking for a rock identifier and tested a few out on their free trials. I “bought” this app thinking there was a trial or I could at least cancel if it was not what I wanted. I tried the app for 5 minutes and couldn’t make it work like I hoped it would. That’s when I discovered that I was not allowed to cancel my subscription and get my money back. There is no way to reach them so now I’m stuck with a $40 app that I can not use for a year! I feel like I have been taken advantage of and ripped off. Stay away from this app unless you are 1000% sure it will work for you. Very disappointed.Show lessTequila714
Need lots of fixing
I uploaded the app 3 minutes ago and subscribed for a week in order to test it out. I scan all my rocks one stone at a time and this app did not identify the right name but rather it give suggestion of what my rock can be….leaving me with ??? In my head.
I know all my rocks because I bought them in a box with their identity. Therefore, I am to cancel my subscription after I post this commentsShow lessarletturr
Not good
First thing it wanted me to do was upgrade without trying out the app. When I finely got to where I could use it for free to try out the app, I took a picture of some lapis I had, it couldn’t identify it it correctly! What a joke of an app.mwb55
Pretty good, sometimes wrong
This app is right most of the time but sometimes, even when I know what it is but I’m just checking, it gets it completely wrongOrphan#Janet
The identifying is way off
I already knew I had appetite and jasper but the rock identifier was way off they said my appetite was some quarts and shattered quarters also something like a howler rock something like that and that is way off!!! But the design of the app is amazing just not accurate on identifying anything :/Precious8977
Disappointed
It gives you a handful of suggestions but it didn’t give me good results on any of the rocks I tried and knew what they were. Only used it shortly to determine it didn’t do what I was hoping. Looking to get my money back. I wish you could try it out before purchasing.Rock Shopper
