Ride IQ is a Game Changer!
I absolutely love Ride IQ! It has been a game changer for me and my horse. I’m an AA Dressage rider who works long hours and typically rides after work. I used to dread planning my own lessons. I would end up riding aimlessly around the arena and largely one one rein. Now I can search for a lesson that targets what I want to work on e.g. straightness, suppleness, transitions, test riding, etc. I can trust I’m going to work towards a specific goal and evenly on both sides. I’ve been using Ride IQ for about nine months. Last week my vet, equine body worker, saddle fitter, and farrier all commented on how well my 20 year old horse is looking, feeling, developing new muscle, and wearing his shoes in a more balanced way. I am convinced that Ride IQ has a lot to do with our progress. Ride IQ is amazing. It works! You should try it!

Service is great. App could use improvements
The service is fabulous. Lessons are good, the selection is broad. The way that I use it is to ride a skill lesson a few times and then during my in person lesson, I talk about what was easy and what was hard and with eyes on the ground, I am able to work on the skill. I can honestly say my riding has improved. I have favorite rides I have done MANY times. This is money well spent.
The app has been stagnant though. I’d like to see improvements in the organization of collections (ability to reorder for example). I’d like to see a recommended ride section based on what to try next. There’s a lot that could be done to improve the app.

Something to know before you start
I was a skeptic. I don’t love subscriptions and I didn’t trust there was enough value I could get from audio lessons. I decided to throw caution to the wind when I saw a FB post about the free trial and I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s been life changing. I now believe audio lessons will change this sport at large. To be able to ride with a top rider in my ear as my copilot, giving me all the structure and reminders I need while sharing training insights to make me a better horse person, has totally transformed my experience. It turns out so much of what I struggled with during my independent rides was just a result of my lack of understanding. Now my rides are positive and I feel like I’m doing right for my horse and myself. This is a subscription I’m a super fan of. If you’re on the fence, give it a go!

Hesitant at first, now I use it all the time
I used this all the time over the trial period but wasn’t sure I wanted to spend the extra money since I am in a full time training program. However, after a month of not having RideIQ, I went back and paid for a subscription because I found it to be super helpful on those days I don’t have a lesson but am stuck inside due to the weather. The knowledge gained is well worth the cost.

Priceless
I’ve been an equestrian for 20+ years, grew up in a suburban area with countless trainers and barns available for every discipline and level possible. After moving to a very rural area (closest competitive H/J barn is ~3hrs away), I needed some help keeping my skills sharp, my older horses at their best, and maintaining a connection to the “real world”!
The VERY first lesson I tried with RideIQ was the BEST ride I have ever had on my old semi-retired jumper. He’s been my best boy, partner in life, and has given me so much over the last 11 years and I *finally* can give him the caliber of work he craves and deserves. I wish we would have had these lessons years ago - probably could have prevented our career ending injury if we had this caliber of training earlier on.
I’m excited about the variety and quality of content. I have 5 very different horses and it already seems like there is something for each of them.
Although there is still so much I haven’t discovered or tried yet in this app, I can’t wait to share with every rider I know. Seriously can’t recommend it enough!

Worth it!
This is one app I don’t mind paying for at all. It has helped my riding by giving me direction and motivation. Plus they have built a wonderful online community with something for everyone.
The 2nd Best Trainer when you can’t get to yours❣️
I’ve been a member since inception and it’s the BEST $30 per/month ever spent. Ride iQ helped me with my experienced eventer and now with my new 4yo OTTB. I love being able to gather information from various top notch trainers/riders and take what resonates with me best to train in all 3 phases. And listening to all the podcasts makes me feel a part of a larger community that cares and that we are all human and make mistakes we can learn by. Thank you for this innovative app that has been life changing as I’m never alone on my own farm❣️

Solo Game Changer
For most of my riding career, I have found myself riding solo more often than not. While I have always had a trainer, they have rarely been closer than a good 1 hour haul from me, which has made it difficult to squeeze lessons in as often as I’d love to.
Enter Ride IQ. Not only do each of my rides have more consistency each time, but the noticeable improvement in both myself and my horses is incredible! I also get that much missed barn time with professionals where I can pick up tips and tricks for becoming a better manager for my horses’ care.
I’m in constant awe at the people in this community and the unending support that is given from other members to coaches. Yes, you read correctly. The coaches are very much involved in the day-to-day of the private community that comes along with the app. Whether answering questions, giving feedback, or celebrating wins, there is always someone jumping in when the need arises.
When you think about it, the annual subscription is less than the cost of most clinics for ONE DAY, and you get an entire year FULL of content for both on and off the horse!
