Unusable App
I was recommended this app as the best book tracking app however it’s interface is literally unusable. I tried to submit a ticket but the app is so buggy it would not even allow me to contact the developers. Consider this review the bug ticket I couldn’t submit via the app.
I downloaded the app on IOS and it refuses to allow me to sign up or sign in. I would really suggest adding error messaging as I have no idea if I am doing something wrong or if the app is just not responding. Sometimes the app will not allow me to open to the sign up page (I think this pop up was supposed to be fixed in your last patch?). I have attempted to sign up twice, and it is unclear if it worked. There is no success indicator nor failure. And then when I sign in after it does not work. Please fix this because the functionality at this point is literally unusable for new users.
FYI when filling out contact us form on IOS the scroll is broken. I cannot hit the submit button (since my description was fairly long). The back button and exit button are basically on top of my apple indicators for the time and battery. This UI needs A LOT of help.

Terrible
I’ve used Goodreads for years, but never really liked it. Especially because they ban certain books, so I finally gave up and transferred my data over to this app. But it’s awful, I can’t browse my library like I used to be able, finding anything is difficult in fact. It’s so counterintuitive, and they want me to pay? At least they don’t ban books, but I’m not paying for something so poorly designed. I transferred my library from Goodreads, and covers and book details disappeared, trying to add the covers back is so Palo staking slow! And every time I change the edition of a book read, the app just freezes for a good couple of minutes.

First, you don't have to pay for anything on our app. The vast majority of our millions of users don't! Regarding the pain points, I suggest checking back some time in Jan. It does sound like you've had an uncharacteristically bad run of issues, but I'm (I'm a one-person dev team) currently working on a bunch of UI, UX, and performance tasks, which should be live before Jan 1st.
great app but barcode scanner is broken
been loving StoryGraph since I moved from goodreads about month ago but I can't give it more than 4 stars for now; there's an issue with the barcode scanner function where it uses my phones camera at its most zoomed in state making it practically impossible to scan anything, I really hope this gets fixed because I really like this app and don't want to move to another service again.

So impressed immediately - made for readers
I never write app reviews - but I had to, because the first 15 minutes of using the app impressed me that much. It’s easy to import history from Goodreads and the book recommendations are WAY better. Storygraph suggested books that I had just picked up, but had not added to my list. Give it a try, you won’t look back.

First time using a reading app
I had goodreads but never used it. This is my first time actually tracking my reading. I love it so far, looking forward to seeing my stats develop!

I love the stats of this app, only thing I wish is that there was a way to track new dates for rereads.

I love this app!
I like it better than GoodReads (especially since I don’t feel like it’s just Amazon shoving certain books/authors down my throat!) but it functions well, doesn’t put ads in my face and has lots of fun graphs and helpful features - I love being able to give ratings outside of 1-5 also!!
Expand “to read pile”
I love everything about this app however can you add more onto “to read pile”? Like I noticed I can only have 5 saved on that pile

I LOVE Storygraph!
Storygraph is my favourite way of tracking my reading. The graphs and statistics are satisfying to look at. You can get as detailed as you wish (or not!) and it’s a clear and easy app to use. I can’t recommend it enough.

I have been using this app since the start of 2024 and it’s great, I highly recommend it.
