Update alert! We are excited to announce that we have changed our Masimo SafetyNet Alert app to Masimo Halo to better reflect our monitoring and alert system portfolio. Along with the name change, we have also updated our app icon to match our new brand identity. Don’t worry, though – the app’s functionality remains unchanged.

Description of Masimo Halo

The Masimo Halo App works with two different monitoring systems: Opioid Halo and Masimo SafetyNet Alert. In the United States, Masimo has launched Opioid Halo, the first and only FDA-Authorized device to alert you in the event of an overdose. Opioid Halo is an opioid overdose prevention and alert system*, and provides real-time monitoring to identify the risk of accidental overdose – slowed or stopped breathing. The system sends alerts to your loved ones and designated emergency contacts, followed by a wellness call that may lead to EMS being dispatched. Opioid Halo includes an advanced pattern recognition algorithm to continuously monitor the risk of overdose and send escalating alerts when help is needed. Know when to take action with Opioid Halo: • Alert Level 1: Caution – Notifies via Masimo Halo app and Home Medical Hub • Alert Level 2: Warning – Notifies you and other designated contacts via text message • Alert Level 3: Emergency – Triggers an automated wellness call that may lead to EMS being dispatch In Europe, Canada and Saudi Arabia, Masimo SafetyNet Alert is an oxygen monitoring and alert system that continuously monitors physiological data – even during sleep – to identify respiratory depression. The system sends escalating alerts to you and your loved ones if blood oxygen levels decline, raising awareness when help is needed. Know when to take action with Masimo SafetyNet Alert: • Alert Level 1: Caution – Notifies via Masimo Halo app and Home Medical Hub • Alert Level 2: Warning – Notifies you and sends automatic texts to designated contacts • Alert Level 3: Emergency – Notifies you again and sends automatic texts to designated contacts ***Requires purchase of Opioid Halo in the US and Masimo SafetyNet Alert OUS, sold separately*** Opioid Halo and Masimo SafetyNet Alert are powered by clinically proven Masimo SET® – the same advanced signal processing technology trusted by doctors to monitor more than 200 million patients each year. *Opioid Halo continuously monitors certain physiological parameters that are indicative of opioid-induced respiratory depression – a sign of opioid overdose – in order to alert users and their emergency contacts so that action can be taken to avoid adverse consequences of an overdose.

  • No O2 Saturation display

I called Masimo customer service a few hours ago to seek help why the feature of SpO2 is none existent . They left out what this is all about. I am looking for another device option. It’s a health hazard that only a lawsuit can fix.
  • What happened to the oxygen sensor

I love this thing! It’s awesome and can be a legit life saver! But one thing; when I first downloaded the app the oxygen sensor was working perfectly, then 10 minutes later it disappeared and I haven’t seen it since. I’ve tried everything but for some reason it only shows perfusion index, no oxygen gauge or table… kinda biggie that’s needed for this thing. Especially for overdoses. Other than that I think the ideas and actually product is amazing and can really save lives. There brand new so I expect some bugs I guess.

  • Does not push alarm/notifications to your phone

Set the device up today and it was not sending notifications to my phone, and doesn’t play any audible alarms from the hub or the app. Customer service did not know how to fix it either, and went to confer with a colleague but haven’t gotten back to me yet.
