Blaring Audio

Please give us an option to launch the app with the camera muted, or at least follow system volume.

Having the camera audio automatically turn on and MUCH louder than my phone volume is set is a huge issue when rocking a baby to sleep.

Will update review if issue is fixed

Needs lots of improvement

App continually takes long time to load and often needs to be shut down and reopened to load/connect. Volume starts full blast regardless of phone volume. Company says the are going to fix the volume problem and never do in the updates.

App stopped working

App was working and no issue till 2 weeks ago. Now it doesn’t work on my phone which is iOS 18. It’s less than 2 years old. Very inconvenient

App was working great when I first bought it, up until today. Works on my husband’s phone even with the new IOS18 update. Going to see if I can return it. Not impressed. Instructions on the site and the manual are trash.

Noise issue

App is fine except if I check on the monitor it always overrides my phone’s volume and turns the volume way up. I wish I could check on my baby without the volume going way up automatically

Randomly will no longer detect motion or sound.

This app is ok. Not perfect and that’s alright. My biggest gripe is that it will randomly not detect motion or sound. Kind of defeats the purpose of the app and having the camera set to wifi (which creeps me out, but I digress…)

There’s also no troubleshoot option for this, no contact option, and it doesn’t have a quick way to resolve itself (disconnecting/reconnecting camera does nothing, force closing app does nothing, etc.) just have to wait it out until it magically re-appears. Ugh.

Ça allait, avant la mise à jour

Tout allait avant la mise à jour d’iOS. Depuis, je n’arrive plus du tout à voir les camera sur mon téléphone. Rien de load. C’est fâchant

Not working

This is the 3rd monitor i have had to buy from leapfrog/VTech and still doesnt do what it says it does. Motion detection not working properly, motion detection recordings do not play back ( says “file not found”) and now overall is just delayed despite the updates and many resets of both camera, parent unit and the app. After emailing i was advised to purchase a new monitor AGAIN but they could not help me any further. After already buying 3 monitors from here i will not be purchasing again.

Update: despite all emails i have sent. The issues with the app have still not been resolved. No motion detection notifications and still not recording/ showing playbacks.

Bad product, bad warranty: Do not buy Leap Frog baby monitors

We received our baby monitor as a gift. It worked for one year, coincidentally corresponding with the crappy 1-year warranty, and then stopped connecting to wifi and Bluetooth.

This app was always glitchy- frequently crashing and very slow.

The camera and monitor were OK while they worked but now I find myself with no baby monitor. I called customer service and received no service: “ Unfortunately,” the product is not covered under warranty, they do not repair units, and they do not have any promotions that would allow me to replace the unit for less than full price. How convenient for them!

I would never have registered for this baby monitor had I known. I’m hoping this review will help other parents researching monitors.

Auto mute

Please, for the love of all that is holy figure out how to auto mute in the app so that every time I open up the monitor, my child is not screaming right in my ears. Either default to mute or have it remember your last setting. I’m so sick of being screamed at every single time I use the monitor

App main page selecting camera, enter the pull down menu (Top left hand side 3 bars). Go to Auto mute settings and select disable.
