Loved the idea, but felt too clunky to stay
I first opened an account with Atmos Financial because I liked the idea that my money can be passively used to support climate projects.
Using the app, it had all the basic functionality of a standard banking service. I started to become put off with some small details that made me feel a bit uneasy. For example, you needed to submit a photo ID and a picture to transfer money out to another bank account - I’ve never had to do this before and was concerned that my money was stranded in this account. Additionally, the interest earned on the account didn’t always seem to land at regular intervals, leaving me wondering if it was going to land at all. When I inquired to customer service, the representative addressed me by an entirely different name and answered only half of my questions.
I ended up transferring my money out and closing the account. I would love to come back once the application and service is a bit more mature and reliable. Overall, great idea, but the execution could be improved to promote customer trust.

Smells fishy
Poor customer service. They’re not a real bank. When there parent bank and them split. Theyll send you your funds. if that check doesn’t go through your out of luck. Want to contact customer service? Good luck. Was just looking to use this bank to hold escrow deposits but now I’m out thousands.

Needs to Improve
Please improve your mobile app and website. Both lack important functionality regarding monitoring/using debit cards and connecting external accounts. Additionally, other banks such as Chase, have difficulty communicating/transferring with Atmos.
This bank and its principles for sustainability are the future—I just don’t want to see it held back by these basic problems.

Annoying
App needs to be coded correctly. It’s always crashing anytime i click my checking account details and it’s just a blank screen & never loads when i click card details. I’m going to have to switch banks because it’s like this 1 doesn’t want you to access your money.
Glitchy
I can’t see my cards or deposit a check through this app because it quits every time I enter the screen. This is a pretty serious issue for an online-only bank.
Big problems with recent updates
I can no longer add funds to my account because the app crashes every time I tap "add funds". I tried downgrading and old versions just show a blank white screen when I navigate to the "move money" section. Also maybe a good time to note that the app has always been bare bones with extremely limited functions and essential tasks that you have to go to the website to accomplish. Can't find terms or info on the debit card in the app, many other such issues. The eco friendly incentive model is cool but the app is pretty terrible so it's very clearly not to be trusted as a primary banking institution.

several problems with the app

Terrible since they changed back end banks
Tap works half the time - other half the time it says “bank not recognized” or something similar.
Can’t transfer from Apple Cash to Atmos anymore because they broke that too.
The joint accounts we were promised 2 years ago? Still nothing.
And now the app gives me a white screen, and everything about this bank is app based. So now we can’t talk to support, check balances, nothing. It’s been like this for 2 days.
This bank is done. Move on.
