Horrible don’t get it…
I was kicked off and counted as a know show for a shift I didn’t even know I was hired for…the people that run the spp are racist… you won’t get hired for any shifts and when you do you won’t be notified… you’ve been warned

Discriminatory Company!! Beware
I was not informed that rescheduling my onboarding call would disqualify my application. After rescheduling due to my grandmother's hospitalization, I was told my application would no longer be pursued. It’s confusing and unfair to offer rescheduling as an option if it leads to disqualification. This company exhibits discriminatory practices and operates with hidden rules throughout the onboarding process. Their lack of empathy and understanding during a family emergency was disheartening. I would not recommend anyone to do business with them or trust their substitutes with childcare or work in facilities associated with UpKid. Their behavior reflects poorly on their morals, principles, and character.

Not available in area
Go app idea. I understand there may not be substitutes available in my area yet, but it would be nice to just have the app open and available so that we can spread the word and get people on board. We don’t wanna direct people to the app and then we all get here with an “unavailable “ message. Please open the app to my area and we will spread the news. News spread fast here in this city. And it’s a great opportunity here Fayetteville NC

Amazing app, amazing job!
I have LOVED working with Upkid these past three months! It has been so cool working with so many different kids at so many different places. I’ve learned so much and still have a long way to go! But I’m ESPECIALLY thankful for the flexibility in picking and choosing what shifts you wanna work. Great job for anyone who wants a flexible job working with children!

Waiting for it to happen
It’s about a month since my interview and I’m still waiting on them to approve fingerprints.A little over a week ago I confirmed with them that everything else has been confirmed (background and stuff). I checked the fingerprint people to make sure it had been sent. I check the child licensing people (who approve it before up-kid) they said all is done. Just waiting on Upkid now. I have tried to message them and they either tell me to keep waiting or they give me all these people’s numbers but all these people say it’s their turn.

Didn't get any notifications or messages and they just counted me as no show? And now they I am no longer available on the platform?

It is such a great job for sitters! Once you are employed, finding a daycare center that needs a sub is usually just a click away. Daycare centers that need subs can join, too! The team is exceptional and always ready to help. Upkid is constantly growing, improving, and reaching out to collaborate with it’s employees.
