  • Less Buggy, it’s a banger!

Trying the free version out and just getting to many bugs. Sounds stops working when adding a new pad, app froze. Love the concept but can’t drop $$ if this is going to not give a good user experience.

    Developer Response

Thanks for the feedback. We are doing weekly updates, so its very possible we fixed the bug for your device. It would be great if you could get in touch with us Support@beatsurfing.com and let us know more. We can only get better with user feedback, thanks!
  • Amazing but clickbait.

I saw an ad of this app its amazing but the ad had things this doesnt. So its 2 stars off, Overall its great. response: It was a clay looking map of telephones, not saying about the looks but that one had more sounds. Also said nothing about premium. response: what is the web name?

    Developer Response

Hi coolnicknameB, thank you for your enthusiasm. We shoot our ads with the actual app and that ad you saw was a map created by a user named Flowtiglio. Check our site, we just opened a forum and people can post their own creations there and he has posted that map there.
  • Drum and rhythm Sketch master

Dope. I am all ambient so it is not really an app that I imagined id even try out for more than a minute. However, it is extremely fun, intuitive, really well designed, and creative. I am impressed. I have quite a few drum machines but none of them is as rad as this.

    Developer Response

We love Ambient. We are working towards melodic/harmonic instruments. We decided to launch with drum and one hits specifically because it was the lower hanging fruit in terms of development. There is much more magic on the way. I suggest you try "Inia - by Herrmutt Lobby" on our old app "Playground organic remix", its free and will give you an example of where we are headed.
  • An ACTUAL breakthrough in music making

After many years, and many £££s spent on music apps, it is truly an unusual event to download something that offers a totally new way of approaching music,

Beatsurfing 2 is almost a half way point between the open ended nature of an instrument and the static presentation of a recording… it’s a way to present a pallet of sounds in a way that can then be remixed simply by touching the screen in different ways.

I am sure that there is much more to come from the development team that will enhance this experience as they seem very clued up and have a clear roadmap, but even with what is available now. You have a broad an sandbox approach to touching music that you don’t often see brought to life so interestingly.

Thanks for the kind words! And please, do reach out to us for a chat. We would love to see what you create and hear your ideas for the future of the app.
  • Bad idea

Why is Beatsurfing 2 only available for iPad?I would like to see this app available for iPhone. Please consider my request.

    Developer Response

iPhone is a good idea and we are working on it! For the launch we started on iPad, as getting all those little sliders, knobs and doo-hickeys in the small format is HARD. But rest assured, Desktop and all platforms on the way.
  • No AU or IAA support (yet)

I love this app! It really is great, but until I can use it in Loopy Pro or AUM it is useless to my setup. I want to be able to start off a fresh improv set with some sweet samurai swiped beats, but I cannot. I will change my rating when this is implemented. I know there are talks of plans for this update, but everyone is already using AUs and IAA for so many things, why the wait? Not to be harsh, but that’s how I feel. Love the app, but I will love it more when it works with the firmly established iOS music ecosystem!

AUv3 support has been added. Working great with AUM and Loop pro. Give it an update and let us know how it goes :)
  • Been waiting YEARS for this

I swear this is the future of music production. Sick workflow. Solid design. Capabilities that no other standalone app has (I had to buy a controller app, a bunch of auv3s, an auv3 host app, AND code my own midi quantizer in mozaic just to pull of the same thing using other apps).

The devs are super active. They understand software AND they understand music (I find it tends to be one of the other when it comes to music apps). They’ve even got real investors, they’re a real company, and they’re awesome people.

No words, thanks for the big praise. 🙏 We also added AUv3 in the most recent update. Thanks again!
  • Working much better after update

Click volume and sound adjustment would be nice. Waiting for AUV3. Option to shut off internal time code/sync. Cant start playing when I need to because it is trying to sync me with its time signature. Quite a few thing this app needs

    Developer Response

Hi thanks for the good ideas. We just added AUv3 support, just update the app and it ready to go. Currently you can turn off the quantization. 1st: Turn it off globally in the top bar, tap "quantize" and change to off. Each instrument has its own settings as well, some will be global, or their own amount of notes. Be sure to check each is off. Let us know if you have any specific needs or things you find lacking, we would love to have your feedback.
  • Fun!

I found the devs to be super responsive in crushing a bug on my old device.

    Developer Response

Thanks for letting us know about the bugs you had, we cant fix em if we cant find em! :) You were a huge help. Thanks and stay in touch.
  • A classic

This is dope! So glad to see beatsurfing back, and self sufficient. The best beat making tools are things that don’t slow you down. The one flaw in this app is the file system. It would be amazing to just skip it, and use the “files” system on my iPad. Other than that everything is pretty amazing for making beats. I have gotten a couple crashes when trying delete a sample from the list. Feature request: Would be amazing to see a “chopping” instrument… something that takes long files, and allows start point to be manipulated by other instruments.. anyway, just go get it… it’s sick.

    Developer Response

Thanks for the suggestions. We are working now on making the import samples/file system better, we know its rough as is. Great idea on the feature request, will add that to our user wishlist. If you have any other suggestions or issues, please reach out to us on social or via email, we would love to hear your feedback!
