  • One of a kind

This piece is magnificent. It’s perfect for chess beginners that wants to learn but don’t know where to start or don’t want to get into a whole game (which would often complicate the situations, thus making learning much harder). This is the chess “class” I’ve been looking for, but it’s more than that, it’s a GAME! and a quick one! Takes your mind off work and boost your chess strategy. Simply amazing.

  • Ok but a million ads

The app is simple enough, but the free version must have the most ads I’ve ever seen. I understand you can pay to remove them, but even so, the sheer quantity is ridiculous. Long, obtrusive ads that force you to click on them. Says a lot about the kind of developer.

The game doesn’t offer enough to justify paying the ad free charge. Look at duolingo ad model for something reasonable.

  • Great puzzle game

Its really fun and interesting to try to solve each level. Some levels are really easy and some are incredibly challenging. The challenging ones are sometimes cause for rage quit but it makes it all the better when you finally figure it out.
  • Fun pick up and play game for Chess fans

Love the app and design. Simple little puzzles to kill time if you don’t want to get into a full game.

I feel like the only two things missing is syncing your progress across devices (through Game Center or however) so you don’t have to play everything twice or stick to one device. Also being able to play in landscape on the iPad would be great.

  • Almost a 5

I think the 8 bucks is worth it. Great game with loads of puzzles.

Needs to be updated to allow you to listen to music etc. while playing. Automatically cuts off external sounds when it’s opened
  • Nice puzzle collection

Despite looking simple, this app features puzzles that do teach genuine complex tactics. While in a real game you would have to look at the entire board to make sure something works, the smaller scale tactical training is amazing at teaching, especially for beginners.
  • Great Puzzles

These puzzles have been an absolute thrill to do. They offer a whole slew of puzzles helping you learn jus about every mating sequence. While 1,000 puzzles is a lot, I do wish there was more.

Only issue was the bug that occurs whenever you let yourself get checkmated. Hope to see something new from these developers.

  • Chess is the perfect puzzle game all along

I never realized it before, but chess is the ultimate puzzle. This game takes all kinds of possible game-winning chess moves and turns them flawlessly into individual puzzles that can be solved simply in a minute, all the way up to complex layouts that take ages to consider. Chess masters may find this game trivial, or they may find it a great way to practice their skills. Also, there are like hundreds of levels - enough to never get bored!

  • Same old story too many ads

Not sure why, but sometimes you get an ad per game, bearing in mind these are small chess problems the ads are way longer than the games. Would happy pay, but not the price the devs are asking, way to much
