Good to have back
But I have to agree with several of the reviews here. The balancing is off a tad. The easy levels are harder and the hard levels are easy. Something isn’t quite tuned right. That said, still a wonderful game and a very close approximation.ocp_001
My all time favorite is back!
I was never so happy to see GeoDefense is back! A new developer has resurrected it to play on modern versions of iOS. If you liked the original, or just looking for a great game, check this one out. The Easy levels are free to play, and for $3.99 you can purchase the Medium and Hard levels. I purchased them right a way to support (and to say Thank You, to the developer).Show lesswardroutt
One of the best
This has been one of my favorite TD games of all time. It’s challenging, but not unbeatable. I’m glad this has been restored as I’ve been missing this game!TalGamer
Not as good as the original
Not sure why, but the developers changed this version of the game. The hard levels are now easy; I remember in the original having to work a little to win "The Eye", but in this version it's trivial. Meanwhile I'm fairly certain that the easy level "Shoulda Zagged" is now impossible.
Generally it seems like they've messed with the parameters for each of the levels, and the result is a less well balanced game.Show lessigxqrrl

Edit; I’m stuck on level 6 beginner and I don’t remember it being this hard. The normal strategy used doesn’t apply to this level remake. It’s not a one for one transition to the new game engine, the level design to subtlety different.DSkilton
Restore purchase to a new iPad?

I was falling asleep last night and this old game randomly came through my head - I used to play it 10 years ago (!!) and it was my favorite. So I took my phone off the charger and searched to see if it was still in the App Store. The old one has been removed, but I didn’t expect it to work anymore anyways. But I was SO thrilled to see that not only is the game re-created - it’s rebuilt and currently being maintained!
Lots of nostalgia here, as this was actually a well-built strategy game that you can just pickup and play and has much challenge to it.

An old favorite, but completely unbalanced
I LOVED the old version of this game, and am glad to see it back. However, whereas the original version was perfectly balanced and extremely challenging, with each level requiring a lot of experimentation to find the right combination and timing to master, this version appears to have no tuning whatsoever. A few early levels have some challenges, but most (especially the “hard” levels) are stupid easy. Just pile up a handful of anything and you will win, don’t even have to add anything for the latter waves. The challenge and strategy is non existent. This remake nails the look and feel of the original, but fails the gameplay and tuning.Show lessSpadiehaha
