SAVE PEST ROUTES
As a lot of other door to door people probably have commented, everything about field routes is worse than pest. It takes forever to load, makes you load customers that aren’t even yours, and it just works terribly. When it comes to PEST ROUTES. I have never had one issue aside from rep spy messing up where it doesn’t show the correct person. Why why why would you switch your app from the most user friendly software ever, to a mediocre app that achieves less than its predecessor?

How is this garbage acceptable?
This garbage has been out for so long, with no notable improvements. You cannot expect the app to stay open if you place a phone call, or if you have to answer a text from your manager or other customer.
The app even crashes mid report, causing you to lose everything that you have entered. Due to this, it is a waste of time to use any of the equipment options. Just write what is legally required in the invoice and you’re fine.
They constantly change this from PestRoutes to FieldRoutes but it gets categorically worse every time.
Somebody needs to be fired, somebody needs to actually help the pest control industry.

Zero stars
Worst app I have ever been graced using. 100% of the time it resets multi service properties after completing the job setting them back to pending. Company who made app refuses to acknowledge or fix issues that have been stated in reviews as far back as 4 years. They gaslight you into thinking your doing something wrong even after you fill out all areas it claims are not filled out. Terrible app and this company should be sued and shut down.

Update suggestion
When viewing a customer there is a tab that reads “ on my way “. This calculates an amount of time from our gps location to the customer. We have to give many customers a 30 minute or 60 minute call ahead. Will you update the app so we can select our own amount of time such as 30 or 60 minutes ? The current configuration causes us technicians to ask our office to make a lot of phone calls. This update suggestion will increase efficiency for company operations. Thank you for your consideration.

Bane of my existence
Pest routes had issues but ever since we had to switch to field routes, everyday has become a headache at work. The app constantly bugs out and jumbles my route around after I schedule it which results in an array of issues. It takes forever to load and the customer service is just about useless. I thought pest routes was annoying at times but this has truly made work stressful on a daily basis and if your company is considering using them, I strongly advise not to. It’ll result in frustrated and inefficient workers. Truly praying something gets fixed fasts.

App is very quickly becoming unusable
Locks up half the time you try to save. Drops out of appointment or entire app half the time screen shuts off losing data. Several employees reporting no data listed when printing other than company info, even after update. Froze up so badly at one point touchscreen stopped working until tablet was force restarted. Couldn’t save for over a half hour and only a force restart of tablet would resolve it. PestRoutes had some issues at the start but this is unacceptable.

Apps way too big and pushes so much data that it makes the app unusable on a mobile device. Crashes when device goes to sleep. It loads a bunch of unnecessary data like customer contact information and unless you have 5 bars 5G it will crash and erase all of your notes and products. This is extremely frustrating. Pest techs aren’t IT guys and shouldn’t have to jump through technological hoops just to do the job. Time is being lost. And time is money in this industry. Take a hint filed routes, MORE ISN’T ALWAYS BETTER!

Constantly loading and freezing while saving
No issues with pest routes but then we were forced to move over to this. Constantly refreshing every time I open my phone and for the last week every time I go to close a job it gets stuck on “saving appointment” until finally I have to force close and do it again and reinput all equipment, product, notes, payments and I usually have to go through this process 3-4 times which adds roughly an hour to an hour and a half each day. Ridiculous.

Good features, but relies too much on cloud
This app has some great features, but relies too heavily on cloud service to save/make changes to appointments. It makes it especially challenging when working routes that are rural and cell signal is hard to find.
A step in the right direction would be to have the app download and save your route to your local storage and also handle uploading pictures and writing notes as a data packet on your local storage that gets sent out when signal is available. And its really inconvenient that you can only upload one picture at a time.
A nice feature to have would be where you can make multiple picture selections to upload to an appointment all at once.

Downgrade
Thankfully I didn’t delete PestRoutes Tech when I downloaded Fieldroutes. The biggest issues is when I’m entering a product it’ll randomly act like it’s saving everything like when one does from the main tab, once you hit back it kicks you out to your list and the product you were saving didn’t save. It’s become more and more frustrating as it’s happened to be several times in a row. Another issue is when trying to save everything or marking an account as complete it sit there saving forever. Basically freezing so you have to start the app over. But when you bring up the account again it blanks all your work even if you hit save previously. I know this can happen when you have poor cell reception but this has happened multiple times at full bars.
