Seriously lacking in the details

I downloaded this app because I was told this company does stationary. They do business cards and brochures. That’s it. I wanted ACTUAL stationary. Notepads, notebooks, pens, pencils, journals. All of it. They don’t have it.

Terrible app and customer service

I have lost over $10,000 in sales due to the fact that they cannot accurately provide “out of stock” data. If I knew this, I would have never used their website.

A customer places an order which sits “in production” for 3-5 business days - then I follow up and ask why it hasn’t been shipped and they tell me the product is out of stock and they do not know when it will be back in stock, OR they’ll tell me it is in stock, I’ll reorder it and then it will get cancelled AGAIN because it’s not in stock.

As a software engineer with 15+ years of experience - this app & website is horrendous. It’s like a group of college level engineers attempted to make a product and slapped a bunch of band aids on the issues. I would advise everyone to stay far away from this company. I regret using them and wish I knew more about this company before I went and created 150+ products on their site.. I’m looking for new websites and am literally willing to pay thousands of dollars if someone can help me transfer my products off of gelato and onto a new platform. 0/5 - this company, website, and app are horrendous.

Glitch with zero support

I really wanted to love to Gelato. For whatever reason (I don’t know because customer support just regurgitated what is easily found on the troubleshooting page) my print orders weren’t turning up in gelato and therefore not being printed. It has taken me months of emailing to get no change, and no resolution. I have repeated myself in email, for months, to only get the same response. It was as if they weren’t actually reading my emails, just copying and pasting. I have to leave the platform because they couldn’t offer a solution, other than manually processing each order. Which obviously defeats the purpose of a print on demand service.

Glitchy and has a lot of lag

Doesn’t work the way it should. Very bad experience on the app.

Unreliable, Incompetent Service – Avoid

I’m incredibly disappointed with both the app and service I received. I ordered a shirt for an important event, only to find out *a month later* that it was out of stock. While I understand that inventory issues happen, the fact that this wasn't reflected on their website is inexcusable.

Even worse, I received no communication or updates during the entire month. The app continued to falsely claim the item was "in production," leading me to believe everything was fine. It wasn’t until I finally reached out to customer service that they explained the product was out of stock from the start.

There are far too many services that do exactly what this company claims to do, and with far more competence. This level of gross mismanagement is unacceptable. As a result, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. I cannot recommend this service to anyone, and if you're considering ordering from them, beware—you might be left in the dark, waiting indefinitely with no resolution. Terrible service, poor communication, and a major inconvenience.

Great tool

Great with some disadvantage

Really great quality and everything but there is 3 problem that make me consider changing POD provider

- The app as some bugs on iPad like when you customize and try to move the graphic it just zoom were you “click”
- The price are really high so the profit is not the best
- Not a big product catalog

I still think this is a great POD company if you want higher quality product

Gone Down Hill

This POD service use to be at the top. The customer service was quick and reliable, printing was clean and easy, and the prices were reasonable. I loved using Gelato, so much that I even bought their Gold membership. For $1000+ a year, it was surprisingly worth it. The added discounts were a benefit in and of itself and the personalized assistance really made me feel like I mattered as a seller.

Unfortunately, a lot has changed in very little time. The subscription models have increased in price but the benefits have lowered? What use to be a 50% off shipping discount after 50 orders a month has disappeared and been replaced by a measly 10% off products that have already been up-charged to save them the difference. Heck, they even use to have offers for 30 days of free shipping for new subscription members! Customer service has been replaced by a dysfunctional AI program that makes talking to a real human nearly impossible (I wouldn’t be surprised if they have the AI read these reviews too). Print quality has even gone down and issues with orders are becoming more and more prevalent (except now trying to resolve them is a puzzle).

I’m incredibly disappointed with the direction Gelato has taken, putting their pockets above the loyal base of sellers they had once acquired. As someone who used multiple POD services, I can be honest in saying they all have their pros and cons. But none seem to have gone as money hungry as Gelato who has screwed their customers over under a mask of “progress”. Please start somewhere else like Printify or Printful if you are looking to start POD.
