This app is terrible. Awful system.
I’ve driven on Illinois toll roads three time and have had issues with both the Illinois Tollway app and website. Entering credit cards never works, the app constantly has unnecessary error messages, and your tolls don’t show up. Last time I received no warning that I had pending tolls until I got a mailed invoice that probably tripled the amount I would’ve paid with an in-person attendant at a booth. If the Illinois Tollway wants to streamline this process they need serious UI help on this app. It takes three times as long to pay your tolls and call customer service than it would to hand a booth attendant a dollar. Makes me want to avoid toll roads at all costs for the hassle. Maybe it would be better if I had their transmitter installed, but I really think this process should be simpler and faster for non residents just passing through.
