[Monday 1:48 PM] Carol Braileanu **Payvent 24.08.01 Change Log** **Enhancements to the POS Messaging System** The POS messaging system has been upgraded to enable the broadcasting of messages to an entire event or vendor, thereby eliminating the need to send individual messages to each device. This enhancement will significantly expedite various operations, including: - Menu updates - Creation and modification of operators - Online top-up and tag configuration - Device creation and assignment Previously, these operations were performed on a per-device basis. With this update, the processes will be considerably faster. It is imperative that these operations are rigorously tested to ensure that messages are correctly transmitted and received by all devices. Testing should also encompass scenarios involving both online and offline devices to verify that offline devices receive the pending messages upon reconnection. **Zone Configuration Updates** - The group/subgroup feature will be gradually phased out and replaced with zones. - All existing groups and subgroups will be automatically migrated to the new zone structure. - Zones will be created for a specific device type, and only devices corresponding to that type will be eligible for inclusion in the respective zone. - When adding new devices to a selected zone, they will be automatically assigned to that zone, provided they are of the appropriate device type. **Menu Configuration Adjustments** Zones can now be assigned custom menus, thus eliminating the necessity of creating multiple vendors or duplicating operators to manage different menus across various areas of an event. A default menu may be defined for all zones (with no specific zone selected) and can be overridden for individual zones as required. Devices assigned to a particular zone will receive the menu designated for that zone if one has been defined; otherwise, they will receive the default menu. These modifications are also reflected in the Google Sheets used for event configuration: - To define default menus, a sheet titled "Meniu - [vendor name]" should be created. - To define a menu for a specific zone, a sheet titled "Meniu - [vendor name] - [zone name]" should be created. The specified zone will be automatically generated. **SGR (Deposit Return Scheme) Implementation** As of this release, the warranty tax for plastic containers can be automatically appended to an order when an item is configured accordingly. To facilitate this, the following configurations must be made: 1. Create an item named "SGR" with a VAT rate of 0. 2. Either assign the "sgr" tag to the item within Payvent Admin, **or** Add a column titled "Picture" in the menu Google Sheet and specify "sgr" for the relevant items. This configuration will ensure that the SGR item is automatically added or removed in conjunction with its associated parent item. **Improvements in Reporting** - Sales reports will now be aggregated by item name rather than by item or category ID. Consequently, items sharing the same name and price across different vendors or zones will be consolidated into a single entry in the reports, with quantities summed accordingly. - Event organizers will now have the capability to view consolidated sales reports for all vendors. This view will not be accessible to individual vendors. - Reports can now be filtered by zone instead of by group or subgroup. **Top-up Report Performance Optimization** The performance of the top-up report has been enhanced to ensure quicker and more efficient processing.
