Really Great - Road to Hana
Bought for Road to Hana & it was fabulous. Added so much to the drive and overall trip. Very highly recommend - so well done.

We did all four tours in Kauai. This allowed us to see all of the island, recognize and understand local things, and entertained us!
We did the tours the first four days - went back to do some things on different days. Loved the hikes and the stops on the route. Rained a lot when we were there- wish we had taken trekking poles for the muddy trails- slippery! Wish we had more days as it would be fun to hike more and spend more time on the beaches! It was great to check out all the beaches via this tour and then we knew which ones we wanted to spend more time hanging out on.
The tour includes information about bathrooms (or when you won’t have one!) and if you need to bring your own snorkel gear for certain beaches or if they rent. Appreciated the details. Also the details on rigor of hikes, how to modify them and trail conditions.
Highly recommend!!!

Definitely Worth The Money!!
I have never written an app review before - but this one is worth it. We bought the pack for Kauai traveling with our kids ages 7 & 10. We had visited the island without kids in the past and used guide books to find all the “must see” places so I feel comfortable comparing travel with and without the guide. This app is amazing! The narrator is fantastic and literally kept us on the edge of our seats (when describing the epic tribal wars between the islands and there were musical interludes for drive time, my kids were like “wait what happened next?!” - I swear they know more about Hawaiian history than their own state in the lower 48!). Music, history, narration, humor - this app has it all. It syncs to your GPS so the narration is timed with your location! It’s like traveling with your fun uncle who grew up in Hawaii and has tons of stories to share. My 7 year old’s review: “I want him [the guide] in more places, like back home.” My 10 yr old said “I like his voice and how it always goes with great spots and the stories were really interesting.” Our request is please do the big European cities!! Even if we read the script out loud to our kids, they would never be as interesting as these guides! Adults and kids will love them and we got way more out of our vacation than we would have using a mix of books/ websites (and just easier).

Fantastic app that really works
We were visiting Arches National Park in Utah, USA and we came across the Shaka App. It is really clever. You simply download it, pay for your tour, download it and then it will pick up your location. As you drive towards the park it literally directs you into the correct lane for the park entrance. From then on as you drive around the park it directs you on your way and explains what you are seeing. We had it running through the Apple CarPlay system so you can see the map as you go. Brilliant. The commentary is a little cheesy at times but it is American so you have to expect a bit of cheese!

Bought the road to Hana tour and we love it so much it made the drive more entertaining and informative! Great background music when guide is not talking , step by step GPS direction it was so fabulous , we bought the tours for the rest of the Maui Island !
North shore tour
Absolutely loved this app/tour. We had to call to ask for a bit of help and they were awesome. Only problem we had was we couldn’t sync phone to car so we had to use app without charging as we went, needless to say we ran out of charge at the end!

Wow- both good and bad
There’s a learning curve, and once you get it, the app itself is great. The developer clearly mentions the need for a charging cable in more than one area. But OMG. I’ve never seen anything eat a battery like this app. I have a 14 Pro Max, downloaded the guide for the particular tour we were taking and my battery went from 100% to 40% while plugged into the rental car usb in less than an hour. I know they car USB’s are low watt, but I thought it would at least keep up with the charge. My phone got so hot I had to hold it in front of the AC vent because I thought it might overheat and shut down. My battery was in good condition before using the app. Now I’m not so sure. If you had your own generator and kept your phone on ice it might keep your battery charged. The app could be fantastic. I’m deleting it and hope sometime in the future it will work properly

Great guide!
Was looking into this for our first trip to Hawaii (multiple islands). I noticed each island had a package and was expecting to pay for each island. When I went to purchase I was wonderfully notified that I could get all 4 islands for less than what I was expecting to pay for three!
The directions and narration is great and gives you tons of insight and history. There is so much available with each guide. We only wish we had more time to do it all! We will be back for more!
On a side note the only recommendations I have is that the walking guides are not necessarily stroller friendly. While we may be a minority for the people that use the guides a brief "disclaimer" could help. By no means did this detract from the experience, but we just had to find an alternate route and rejoin the tour in progress. Also, although it was only a couple times, a little more notice on a couple of stops/highlights/locations could have been beneficial as the family couldn't decide in time and we ended up just passing them. It was only 2-3 that I remember and not anything major that we missed.
Overall I was very pleased with this app and would recommend it to anyone! Also interested to see all the other national parks available as it looks like they are expanding with those!
