You first add lights to a room. Within that room, lights can be grouped. You cannot save group settings, you cannot save room settings. Instead, you must create something else: a scene. Scenes, however, can only be a room state. There is no ability to configure everything the way that you want it, and save it as a recallable state. This would be sufferable if this next feature made up for it: “Quick Actions”. When creating a quick action, you first name it, then you can either choose ONE scene(room), or: first you choose a color, then you choose the lights to which that color is applied. You are allowed to have 3 folders of quick actions, and each folder can contain only 6 quick actions. So it isn’t even as if you could make up for this design flaw by just adding as many quick actions as it takes because they cap you at 18 total, and if you assign a quick action to a scene, it’s redundant 3x because one quick action is a way to control one scene which is one room. In a home full of lots of colorful lights, this makes it not hard, but impossible to get to anything more convenient than individual bulb control. The way that Wiz is designed to be setup, my only option is to painstakingly control each bulb individually. This is like a watch that can’t tell time. The app should honor the investment of those who have chosen to depend upon Wiz. It does not.
