Waste of money

Horrible connection process, requires me to go through my router settings on a device connected via Ethernet cable. Bluetooth does help connect, manual pairing doesn’t work. If I could rate 0 stars I would. $50NZD price tag for a completely useless lightbulb. Waste of money do not buy

I credit WiZ Connected with 2-out-of-5 stars. There have been some very curious decisions made within the World of WiZ. One star deduction is due to the app not being able to run natively on an iPad. Why was full iPad functionality not included in the app? For a stretch target, make the app functional in MacOS as well. Two stars have been deducted due to the failure in being able to set an ‘Automation’ for a smart plug. Why? An ‘Automation’ for a WiZ smart plug can be scheduled in the Google Home app easily enough, which, by the way, DOES work natively on an iPad. In summation, my questions to the folks at Wiz are why was native iPad functionality not included, and why can’t users schedule an ‘Automation’ for plugs?

Poor design and implement

As the owner of several different brands of smart home products, this is by far the worst I’ve ever used. Connection is difficult, instructions are unclear, app sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t. Please keep in mind, this is the.’ new’ version two app that is supposed to be better. Nothing but an awful experience. after trying to set it up and use it, I have just deleted it off my iPad and will be dumping their terrible products at a thrift store. feels like it was designed by some kids from high school, not a real company.

idk why everyone is complaining

i was hesitant to update from the old app because of the bad reviews but I finally did about a week ago and it works perfectly fine. They could maybe simplify the UI a bit but that’s the only criticism

Used to be good…

but like so many companies these days their efforts to “improve” just make everything worse. Never used to have a problem setting up bulbs, changing bulb and group settings, or navigating through the app. Now everything is convoluted and works properly maybe 1 out of 4 times if you’re lucky. The app layout now is embarrassingly abysmal(whoever approved this abomination should be fired)which is bad enough, but it literally doesn’t even work properly.

Massive fail, my Wiz bulbs now sit in a bin. I hold out hope that someone competent starts making decisions for this company rather than the incompetent nepo baby that seems to be running the show instead.

Severely overcomplicated

simple actions require menu surfing & multiple button presses. Not easy to use.

Feedback

Hi, please add ability to ‘toggle’ light mode on/off within Apple shortcuts. Currently need two seperate shortcuts for each state. Would like to be able to use as a switch.

Terrible app

Errors out and disconnects from the bulb all the time. The new version of the app just made everything else worse.

Great till now

Not sure what happened but nothing works on the app interface.

I have been using this app and lights for years and loving it. I have no idea why every time I try anything I get a message “unknown issue occurred please try again”

Can’t:
Change schedule
Change light settings
Turn off
Turn on

App is updated

Is there another bug?

No sunset or sunrise available for automations

Should add the possibility to make automations based on sunrise or sunset. As the sunset/sunrise varies across the year that would be helpful, instead of having to change the time manually at which the automation occurs.
