  • Disappointed

Horrible app. Doesn’t work at all and wasted money on an app I’ll never use
  • Decent

Works well enough. Takes some time for the links to open in Apple Music (Not sure if that’s an issue with AM or with Convusic), but the Share Sheet extension is a bit broken. It only works for me if I already have Convusic running in the background.
  • I feel ripped off

I probably should have read the details more before buying, but this does not support Apple playlists! What use is an app that only does one song at a time?? You can search for it in the same amount of time it’d take to use this. Hopefully someone will read this and save their hard earned pennies! 😂😭
  • No playlist support

Everyone keeps sharing their Spotify playlists with me so I hoped this app would help but it doesn’t mention not having playlist support in the description.
  • Great idea

This is a great but I wish it had 2 features.

    1. I wish it could copy a Playlist from Apple Music and add it to my Spotify queue.

    2. I also wish I could share a link directly to this app from the iOS share sheet.

    Developer Response

Share Sheet support is now available in version 1.17 :)
  • Wish it didn’t have to load other players

It still loads other players when using safari before switching to your default in app. It works great when links are sent to you tho.
  • Nifty concept, doesn’t work with 1Blocker

Love the tool! Unfortunately, Spotify pages refuse to load when using 1Blocker in iOS. Since the Spotify page can’t actually load, Convusic is unable to redirect from Spotify to Apple Music. Not sure if there’s a workaround for this.

DM me on twitter @convusicapp so I can learn more about your use case — I bet I can figure out a way to make it work with 1Blocker enabled!
  • So glad someone finally made this!

When extensions were first announced I assumed that an extension to switch music streaming links would be one of the first ones to release, given how many people use differing streaming services. But surprisingly, after investigating, I was not able to find any until several weeks ago with Convusic. This app works excellently for switching Spotify links from my friends to YouTube Music and saves me so much time.

Though I have one bit of feedback, the extension takes a little while to switch after opening the link, usually about 5 seconds, I understand with the matching algorithm will always have to take some time, but is there any chance this will be reduced in the future to feel more seamless?

    Developer Response

Glad to hear Convusic is working for you 😊 Conversions to and from Apple Music & Spotify should be near instantaneous, but unfortunately the implementation for YouTube Music and Tidal are a bit more complex since neither service offer a public-facing developer API. As a result, there are a few limitations -- both incur a small delay and only support albums & songs, not artists. I do plan on making some improvements that will hopefully make things a bit quicker, as well as updating the user experience to better inform users of in-process conversions and failure explanations in the near future. The macOS app already has some of these improvements! If and when Google decides to offers a developer friendly catalog search API for YouTube Music, I will certainly issue an update that makes the experience as seamless as it is for Apple Music and Spotify! • Issue with Apple Music to Spotify

I noticed an issue where if you have the Apple Music app deleted on your device, the extension won’t work as every Apple Music link will still say “you don’t have this app installed” rather than open in Spotify. The only way to open those links is to just copy the links from the web browser and then paste them into the app itself, but that makes the safari extension seem pointless. Anyway, it’s a good idea for an app and hopefully there’s a way to resolve that.

    Developer Response

Thank you for this! I am working on some support documents as well as an update that should address in the next week or two. It’s already been fixed on the macOS version 🙂
