  • Terrible - I wish there was a way to give negative stars

I don’t know what they were thinking. Can’t add anything to a list - I’ve tried tapping a coupon item, there’s no way to type anything in like before…this app is junk and the only reason I have it now is for fuel rewards, but even that stinks as I have to keep logging in.

Back to using my notes on my phone to create my shopping list I guess. I wish Hy-Vee were closer because at every turn Cub is disappointing me. If gas weren’t so crazy expensive it would be worth the drive to avoid the weekly “Cub Headache”

  • Improved overall, but coupons worse

So far I like the new app, but adding new coupons is clumsy. As another reviewer noted, there’s only one per screen so it requires more scrolling. There’s also an annoying pop up after adding each coupon that covers nearly the entire screen that suggests other coupons. Please get rid of this. It’s completely unnecessary. I’m already going to scroll through all the available coupons. It’s just slowing down the whole process. The X to close out of it doesn’t work well either.

  • Could use some improvement

It seems we lost some features with the new app. I used to create a shopping list in the old app by selecting items from the ad. It appears that feature is gone and it’s very clunky to create a list now. I do like that the digital coupon clipping is improved and that the app is more responsive. If they could fix the shopping list to be like it used to be when viewing the ad, then this app would be great.

  • Horrible customer service

Downloaded the new app and had issues with the rewards number not being the same as the one on my card. Accepted their emailed invitation to feel free to call because a real person would be available help me. Got a computer voice that told me all of the representatives were busy and I should call back some other time and then it hung up on me. Nice job, Cub.

  • A step back

New app is faster, so a star for that, but crashes often and weekly ads won’t load on it. I now have to browse their website and make my list in notes in manually, like I do with my local grocer. I also don’t like the new color scheme. Black and white everything is an odd attempt at being contemporary.

  • Keep trying

I was so excited to see a new app for Cub Foods, as the current one is pretty bad. I had high hopes, but honestly, pretty unimpressed. It needs to display landscape on an iPad, c’mon - that’s a no brained. Looking at weekly ads, selecting coupons from coupon book or items from ad doesn’t circle or add to list or anything.

I’m using it on my iPad, open account (yes I’m logged in) it displays ‘session expired please login’. Yes, I’m on the latest version.

I just want to be able to add things to a grocery list. If i want to add to a cart for online shopping, I will, but I just want to add items to a grocery list to shops from in the store. The previous version you could do that. Having to select a list every time is not helpful.

I search for items and it brings me to a very limited number of options and doesn’t display what’s really in the store (the store that I’ve chosen and am logged into). If it’s not there, you can’t add to the list - which means I’ll forget what I need or I have to make a paper list too? I know it not easy. But man, some of these things should have been thought through in advance and/or already updated. Take a page out of the Kroger or even the Walmart shopping apps. I’ve shopped at Cub forever, so I’ll hang in there hoping that new versions resolve issues and add simple user interface requirements.

  • The old app was way better

The new app is awful! In the old app it was simple to create a grocery list by tapping on an item from the ad, now when you tap an item it takes you out of the app entirely. I have to log in every time I open the new app which is a pain as it is not set up to connect to automatic password or facial recognition. I have yet to figure out how to actually clip a coupon, every time I try it sends me to the cub website. The old app was much more user friendly!

  • Unusable for me

The mobile friendly menus are gone, I have to sign in twice to get to fuel rewards, then I have two shopping baskets and two stack menus. Just a confusing frustrating experience. The old app I could get to exactly what I needed quickly. Now how many clicks does it take to just scan a rewards barcode? I don’t understand what improved? The shopping experience on the old app was good. Now it feels like a website without a mobile experience? I don’t get it. I love cub but this was a step backward.

  • Go Cub Go!

What a great addition for Cub! I was able to place a pickup order through the new app seamlessly. The order was ready in a few hours. Clipping the digital coupons was such a great feature. Thank you Cub!
  • Major improvement

The new app is much better than the previous App! Digital coupons are easier to navigate and help me save more. On line shopping is easier and cheaper than using 3rd party apps. Looking forward to making savings even easier in this new version.
