  • App crashed and unable to open

The courses and lecturers are great but the app is not usable. It crashed after watching for 20 min, it will continue to play sound while the app freezes. It will crash if you switch to another app. Now my app is crashed forever no matter how I try to reinstall it… course is expensive but I don’t understand why you don’t invest in building a better app :(
  • It works

The app works fine. No issues, class videos play smoothly. I’d prefer the app than the sketchy Koloso player they require you to install on PC. For iPad and mobile it seems to be alright. The content is good though since you’re learning from professional illustrators. Only 4 stars because on PC it’s very sketchy, I’m not downloading that on my PC.
  • Great content, buggy app :(

I have no problem with subtitles, already figured that out, but having the app (and browser) crashing all the time has gotten annoying. Right now I can’t even access the app which is a huge bummer. All Coloso needs is to run stabler! I’ve bought a handful of classes and they really are good! I just want to be able to watch them without it crashing or freezing up.
  • Unable to use External Monitor

External monitor support is something that is basic functionality in iPad and iPhone 15 over USB-C.

Plugging in a USBC to HDMI adapter says recording software detected, close the app and try again.

This is unacceptable. Every video streaming app allows external monitor support.
  • Terrible App

For the amount of money you spend on a course, there is barely any guidance on what the best platforms are to use the app. You only learn about it when you get pigeonholed into using the app when you realize you can’t watch it on your iPad browser.

Then when using the app, there is so much latency I don’t know how anyone manages to use this. My video always stutters and, in the last hour, wasn’t able to connect to the server about 10 times before I gave up.

This is all the while I’m able to watch short-form video or listen to audiobooks just fine on the same wi-fi network.

Save yourself the energy, just watch it on your computer.
  • Disappointing

So far I have found accessing content by Coloso more difficult than most. I didn’t want to install the separate Kollus player on my new M2 Mac as it would also require me to install Rosetta. The separate video player is required so I thought I’d try this iPhone app. New problem - the audio doesn’t work. Well, it only works if I use headphones. The app is glitchy too and randomly shuts off. This is all too tedious and disappointing.
  • A Slap in the face for how much you pay on courses

Colosso app will not allow me to play content because I have reached my “device limit”. That is fine, in most streaming services this is handled by the user in app settings. I just simple delete a device right? Nope. You have to email support and wait for written permission to change your devices.

Dear Colosso Team, your media player has never worked for me on public WiFi. Your app seems to be just as big of a pain. I’m all for fighting piracy and getting creators paid, but your paid experience has to be functional, if not premium for the rates you charge. If it’s BAD and EXPENSIVE you realize your are creating a demand for pirated content?
  • App crashes after Sign in

I already have an account that i made on my computer so i try to sign in but as soon as i do the apps closes and if i reopen it immediately closes again. I redownloaded it and tried again, same scenario.
  • Amazing app

Works very well, and I’m not a bot or pay review, I’m a real dude.
  • Great app with minor bugs

**Updated Review** The app is running better, now—the captions finally appear for the classes that I opt to watch with subtitles! It still freezes once in a while when navigating some of the menus, so I end up restarting the app in those cases. But most of the time, going through the menu and watching the course videos is quick and easy. I appreciate that Coloso worked to resolve the issues I had with the app and addressed it for a more user-friendly experience! My review still stands for how much I love the Coloso app for accessing my courses on my iPad and for the playback features of the video player. I hope that in the future, they add the ability to download videos from the course sections to allow for offline viewing in places like airplanes or wherever wi-fi is not easily accessible. **Original Review** This app works very well on my iPad, and it’s easy to navigate to each of the classes without issues. I also like how you’re able to bookmark sections of the video, do quick playbacks for areas that you need to repeat to follow-along with the demos, and access class materials in an easy-to-find tab so that you can try the exercises on your own drawing app. However, the one thing I have been having issues with lately are the captions. I have tried changing the colors and settings of the captions, but they will not show up for my videos, which I kind of need to help me better understand what the instructors are saying, esp. if the instructors are speaking their native language and not English. I hope this gets fixed soon—other than that, this app is pretty good so far.
